THE ORIGINALS SEASON 5 RATINGS
While the last season didn't reach the first three ones, at least was better than s.4 and provided some of the best moments of the show
2 things were absolutely great about s.5. The characterization of Klaus, Julie Plec made us to fully realize how far he has changed since the days of being a villain in TVD, and the action scenes who were masterfully choreographed and filmed. The acting in general was also outstanding (especially by the two leads). There was a lot of entertainment and heartbreaking moments here, the guest appearances of Caroline made the whole thing even more fun and Candice King was great. While having minimal screen time this season, still Hayley had some of her best scenes here (particularly in "What Will I Have Left") and I loved Antoinette thanks to the actress' amazing performance
But, Vincent and Cole were at their absolute worst. The main plot was not as cohesive as it should. Julie Plec didn't fleshed out properly Hope, Ivy, Roman, Gretta and Keelin and everything about the society of Nazi-vampires was lacking. Marcel was mostly useless this season and the same can be said for Rebecca. There were too many stupid and flawed scenes and the first half of the series finale was unforgivably sloppy
