SUPERGIRL SEASON 1 RATINGS
Considering all the hate that surrounds this show, I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but it definitely proved me wrong!!!!
Let's start with the pros. The characters are really likable and engaging, especially Cat Grant, thanks to Flockhart's incredible performance, she is the most memorable and amusing character of the show and she even outshines Kara herself. Melissa Benoist is literally perfect as Supergirl, she brings to the role such innocence, helpfulness and strength. Even though I was skeptic at first with the casting of J.Olsen, after some episodes I more than I approved it. All the other main actors/actresses provided superb performances as well. The writers did also an excellent job with "Hank Henshaw". Overall this show managed, at least for me, to be ridiculously entertaining!!!!
Now the cons. The writing and the villains brought down the season a lot. While giving us some epic moments, like in "Falling", the writing in general was really disappointing and the writers missed some obvious opportunities in making the show trully remarkable and memorable. Except one or two, there are no intimidating and engaging villains here. Regarding Non and Indigo, the big bads of the season, they could have been terrific and great threats for Supergirl, but they ended up being average and lame characters. There were some embarrassing political heavy moments unfortunately.....
