Castlevania The Motion Picture Trilogy (2022-2026)

DRACULA - That's right his eyebrows and facial hair are 98% perfect to be Dracula already. His physique (at 6' 4") would be a nice surprise and something different than the usual on screen portrayals of the prince of darkness. Something tells me he would enjoy this role and seems better suited to playing villains than heroes anyway (although Hollywood keeps casting him as heroic). I wanted someone who could have played a Belmont as well hypothetically. Jason fits this ability to play either the Vampire hunter or the Lord of shadows. I think directed correctly , his best talents could shine in this role as DRACULA! (Also just as fittingly he could play a Belmont and would if they go the Lords of Shadow route, then he would play both accordingly)

MARIA SELENA BELMONT - They are always named Maria are they not? There is a reason for this, think Rome, Italy, Catholic, but I digress... Scarlett is perfect for a role that would require duality. On one hand the beautiful wife of Simon Belmont, kidnapped by Dracula, and on the other a beautiful Succubus turned to the dark side by Dracula (Or better yet by his woman Carmilla) Scarlett would rock her black hair when turned of course. If Carmilla turns Maria this could be a great and hot f/f kissing scene (Esp. if it's Angelina Jolie as Carmilla). Also Scarlett would be a crucial center piece in the story playing the re-incarnation of Dracula's Love in many other forms throughout the ages, fueling the tension between Dracula and Belmont bloodlines.

CARMILLA - As Dracula's top female on his team, think "Dracula's Bride" but a less cheesy, more realistic relationship for the Prince Of Darkness. Carmilla is a Vampiress in legend and in the Castlevania video games, possessing many magical powers. Angelina has already proven herself to be perfect for this Dark type of role (Maleficent anyone?) and this role would be more than fulfilled by her acting skills and over the top sexiness and sensuality. Esp. If paired with Scarlett ...the movie screen would just MELT!

SIMON BELMONT - In the Year 1691. Married to Maria Selena Belmont who is the re-incarnation of Dracula's true love. Simon is the descendant of a long line of vampire hunters. Dracula kidnaps Maria Selena causing the last of the Belmont at the time to pursue. He fulfills his destiny destroying Dracula, getting cursed, bringing Dracula's pieces back together and destroying him AGAIN a second time to release the curse. He also lives long enough to continue the bloodline of Belmonts ensuring future generations will have to battle as well. Successfully passing down the "vampire killer" whip throughout the ages. His descendant Richter is one such wielder of the whip battling Dracula in 1792.

RICHTER BELMONT - His rugged yet handsome features, athletic physique (standing at 6' 5"), and facial features make him a good match with minor adjustments in the make up department. I wanted to pick someone who could also have played Dracula hypothetically. But between the two I feel he is best suited as a Belmont. Hell it doesn't have to be Richter just any lead Belmont using the whip weapon. (Although he does look a lot like Gabriel Belmont and in that case yes Dracula would also suit him fine. Just depends on the direction they go with the movie...more "lords of shadow" or "old school"

MARIA RENARD - As the 20 yr old version of Maria Renard in the 1800s. Not knowing she is the re-incarnation of Dracula's first and true love Elisabetha. Falling for Alucard yet fighting off affections at the same time for her sister's (Anette Renard's) boyfriend Richter who saved her 10 years prior from Dracula's Castle during the "rondo of blood" story arc.

ALUCARD - That's right I know people would hate on this but consider all the positives. There really is a shortage of feminine looking , thin faced, pretty eyed, long haired men that can ALSO act. If it wasn't for acting being required then Justin Zabinski (Male Model) would more than suffice visually. But Jared has an amazing range of talent and can transform his body as needed to fit any role. Also make up will do the rest to give him a more vampiric look with arched eyebrows, contacts, etc. His long hair could be bleached white, face shaven, throw him a sword a voila! Alucard is such an important character to the story arc that it has to be someone that could act. And his height wont be a problem when using heel lift shoes and movie magic (Tom cruise).

SHAFT - Shut your mouth! I'm just talkin' bout Shaft the dark priest that aims to resurrect Dracula in both "symphony of the night" and "Rondo of Blood" storylines. It's a great chance for Mr. Caine to use that voice and acting skill to play a bad guy. Not necessary to have a name actor in this role (Like many others) but it's a cool idea. They will be smart to explain Shaft's full name to be some Egyptian mumbo jumbo and not just leave it as "Shaft" unexplained. Like Bebi Shaftu Mastaba which could mean pillar of the eternal house roughly. Go ahead Hollywood take my ideas! It's only win/win at this point.

TREVOR BELMONT - Josh's striking good looks as well as ability to grow his own long hair and beef up for the part of Vampire Hunter make him a good choice. He has to look good with an eye patch on eventually. Also He's a good actor. If Hugh Jackman hadn't already played Van Heilsing in a movie he'd also be a good choice, at least until he gets too old if they don't make this movie soon enough. Trevor will team up with Sypha, Grant, and Alucard to face off against Dracula and his castle in the late 1400's

SYPHA VELNANDEZ - (aka Belnandez) The most similar and etymologically correct last name to Velnandez is Fernandez. Despite the character being portrayed as blonde I think it would be better to portray someone who actually looks like they would have that name and be close to Italian (Latina is close). If shooting for EXACT character matches I'd say Jennifer Lawrence . If we are talking surprises and ticket sales I'd say Rosario Dawson for this part and Def. Hugh Jackman for Trevor. But Since I'd like to consider more than those aspects this would be my first choice. Balancing out the known names with some lesser known names also helps balance a realistic budget. But Rosario would kick ass as Sypha right?? Let's at least have Jacqueline show up for the first round of auditions. There has to be a believable romance between whoever plays Trevor and Sypha as well.

GRANT DANASTY - He can give the gruff and rugged look of this character a bit of youth and personality. If you compare Grant's body type in artwork to Jake's body in "Prince of Persia : Sands of Time (2010)" then you can see a distinct match. It's a good fit for Jake to play a pirate just look at his pictures of himself when he's just walking around in real life. His agility will come in handy if this character gets any action time on screen.

MEDUSA - No offense Rhea. I'm not saying she's ugly. We'd obviously have to put the monster make up on her, but her small size makes her a good candidate for some practical effects having a lower torso of a snake. And wouldn't it just be awesome to see stone Rhea Perlman heads flying through the air at the heroes? Statues of a younger Medusa just breaking off and flying at the screen. Rhea has a nice body also, so rocking the upper body portion of the snake suit would be no problem as you may already know there isn't much to that portion. Her charisma, voice, and character could also add a lot to the movie and the character Medusa. Like never before seen on screen Medusa could actually have a personality and not just be a generic monster like in Clash of the titans and it's remake.

THE LIBRARIAN - The funny old man librarian of Dracula's Castle that helps the heroes along their way by selling them items, showing them secrets, double crossing Dracula none the less. This invites a great comedic relief by pairing Billy Crystal's Librarian with Rhea Perlman's Medusa...I feel the banter already. Also Danny Devito could play the Librarian for that matter and banter away with his wife. I'm thinking I really liked the character he played from the Princess Bride

SONIA BELMONT - As the 18 yr old Belmont who encounters Alucard for the first time and becomes the first Belmont to help destroy Dracula and his evil castle. Some time in the 1400s. She becomes pregnant (By Alucard) and begins the Belmont clan tradition of Vampire Hunters by family blood. This is the first re-incarnation of Dracula's true love Elisabetha to which she has no memory of but Dracula finds to be ironic and maddening that she will be the one to kill him first, starting the long line of feuds between him and the Belmont clan which is not only the vessel for his spiritual poetic justice but his very own blood splintering off to fight against him. The references to this timeline should be limited to flashbacks for exposition and reveal but not an actual whole movie unless it's so successful they can afford to make a second trilogy.

CORNELL - The Werewolf. Yes I can't resist seeing Ron Perlman in a movie like this and esp playing a beast like the werewolf. Castlevania's most important werewolf that is. The only werewolf to get it's own game in the series. There is a lot that could be done with this. Even different approaches considering both "old school" and "Lords of Shadow" plot lines. If Ron isn't feeling up to challenge, at age 65 and counting, then I'd still like to see him in the movie as the beloved "Librarian" of Dracula's Castle

PRODUCER - Being one of the producers on this film would be a great move since he produced the Wolfman in 2010. Wolfman showed balls in it's unreserved gore and blood which seems fitting for the genre of Vampires and Werewolves and is especially fitting for the "bloody", at times, world of Castlevania. If greenlit for an R rating it would be fitting to have some nudity (Women's Breasts are no stranger to the games) and bloody violence among other frightening scenes. If Tamed down to a pg - 13 it could make more money perhaps and still be good (or good enough). And Del Toro's input on this would be interesting since Wolfman was pretty good for what it was right? Also Benicio would be great for playing "the Librarian" If no one else took the role.

DIRECTOR - And a writer. I would peg him as the first choice to direct a Dark, GOTHIC, fantasy, Horror, Action, Sexy movie such as Castlevania. Esp. with his appreciation for practical effects. Also his familiarity with Catholicism would be of slight benefit, although I don't think religious symbolism should be pushed too hard in the film (pro or con). I think his style of artistic vision is perfect for this genre.

WRITER - That's right, not director, a writer. I'm sure he'd bless the project with some direction ideas in his writing meetings anyway. I see him as a valuable player for the script and ideas in general, but Castlevania should NOT end up being like Lord of the Rings, or King Kong, it needs to veer off that mainstream path and be directed by the more dark and sinister works of Guillermo Del Toro. Peter's input on CGI effects, monsters, and story arching over a trilogy would be perfect though. Castlevania deserves a trilogy if done right and someone should see that epic tale from the beginning. 3 installments of 2 hours each? Sounds like the right amount to do this franchise justice.

Dr. Victor Frankenstein JR. - Son of the Dr. who created the original "monster" made from parts of corpses and brought to life with electricity. Either way he should play SOMEONE in the movies if not this character.

Igor - the hunchback assistant of Frankenstein. Should be a sympathetic villain that could help the heroes in the story in some way. Either way he should play SOMEONE in the series if not this.

Frankenstein's MAN - or Monster however you want to view it. This may not even be possible due to Universal's pre-existing monster-verse which also exists within castlevania games. I'll admit the only character that has plot related ties to the games is Dracula tho. So this is an iffy one to include. But if so this is the man that should do it ..standing 7 feet tall with shoes on.
