Debbie Reynolds will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 88th Academy Awards Ceremony (2016).
Which of the first nineteen winners do you admire the most? (Look for the other list of the most recent nineteen winners.)
Wikipedia describes this award as: "The award is named after Danish American screen actor and humanitarian Jean Hersholt (1886–1956), who served as president of the Motion Picture Relief Fund for 18 years. He also served as president of AMPAS from 1945 to 1949. Winners of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award are presented with an Academy Award Oscar statuette. As of the 88th Academy Awards, there have been 38 awards presented, two of which were posthumous."
Please note that there are thirty eight winners, so the list had to be divided into two polls.
Please also note that IMDb does not have a page for 1980 winner Robert Saul Benjamin, who won the award posthumously. He was the former owner of United Artists, having purchased it from the founders with partner Arthur Krim.
Note also that IMDb does not have a page for 1966 winner Edmond L. DePatie. He was a vice president and general manager at Warner Bros. He also succeeded Jean Hersholt as president of the Motion Picture Relief Fund.
