24 SEASON 8 RATINGS
This is one of the most uneven seasons I have ever witnessed, with the first and second part of the season being disappointing and the third being spectacular. So in order to do this review justice, I have to talk seperately for them......
About the first and second part. The plot was very weak, the villains were terrible and unremarkable (except Jurgen Prochnow's Bazhaev). Ortiz and Arlo were horrible additions to the cast. Jack and Chloe weren't very strong. In fact I think Kiefer Sutherland himself didn't gave everything he could. Katie Sackhoff was very good, but she was stuck with an insanely unlikable character. The whole thing wasn't just compelling and engaging enough. However, the action scenes were very entertaining, the Hasans were excellent characters and Cherry Jones was really good
About the third part, I was thrilled by the performances of Mary Lynn Rajskub, Cherry Jones, Gregory Itzin and especially Kiefer Sutherland and their characters were outstanding as well. The plot was also hugely advanced and offered some of the most memorable moments of the show. The character development was masterfull and so were the depth and the satisfaction of the story. The villains here were amazing and the plot twists-surprises. This is also the most violent and dark content of the show. Pretty much the only bad thing was that Ortiz and Arlo were still in it
It might be the worst season of the show, but it ended it with a BIG bang!!!!!!!
Overall rating: 8.8/10
