These are my top-rated movies, ranked. In some cases, there may be movies I like more, but they have a serious enough flaw that I had to drop them to 9/10. The movies that made this list are either flawless (up at the top) or so good that their flaws can be overlooked (down at the bottom).

Why isn't this ranked higher?: It cannot stand on its own. To appreciate it to its fullest, you have to have watched about 20 other movies. Why isn't this ranked higher?: Episode V does not stand on its own as well as Episode IV. It kind of requires the previous and next movies. Why isn't this ranked higher?: Sometimes it is, depending on my mood, but as with Episode V, VI requires the other two to have its full impact. Otherwise, yes, it's also perfect. Why isn't this ranked higher?: Part of this film's construction depends on the follow-up, which hasn't happened yet. Why isn't this ranked higher?: There are a lot of unlikable jerks in this movie, and none of them really face any consequences.
