As a child she studied to become a ballerina. She performed as a soloist with the New England Dance Conservatory, The Amherst Ballet Theatre Company and the Western Massachusetts Ballet Company, but her dreams were shattered when an ankle injury terminated her career as a dancer at the age of 14. She was forced to re-evaluate her career decision and focused on drama and musical comedies instead. Paige graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in drama.

She landed her first soap opera part in 1987 in CBS's Guiding Light (1952), as a troubled teenager who is adopted by a wealthy woman. Adina Porter was born and raised in New York City, more specifically, The South Bronx. She is a first generation American; her father was born and spent his youth in Sierra Leone, Africa, while her mother was born in Bermuda. As a young child, Porter entertained her parents by staging plays in the family living room. They noticed her artistic streak and enrolled her in a children's acting class at St. Mark's AME Church in Harlem; her first acting teacher was the legendary Butterfly McQueen who ran the church's holiday programs.

During her early high school years, Porter was encouraged by a teacher to audition for High School of Performing Arts AKA the Fame (1982) school. She followed that advice, auditioned and was accepted. After that, Porter studied acting and graduated from SUNY Purchase. During her senior year, the university held showcases for New York agents, where she was "discovered" by a talent agent.

Porter then went on to work steadily in the theatre, appearing in off Broadway plays and in regional theatre. Porter has worked in many of the best venues, with some of the country's best stage directors: George C. Wolfe, 'Lisa Peterson (II)', Mark Wing-Davey, Richard Foreman, Don Scardino, Michael Greif, and Risa Bramon Garcia. Teles has also played Kendra in DirecTV's Rogue, Nat in the Crave series Shoresy, and Daniella in BBC America's Intruders. Teles was born in Toronto, Ontario. Her mother was born in Edmonton, Alberta, while her father is Brazilian from Minas Gerais state. She and her family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, when she was five years old. Teles studied theatre at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Alycia Jasmin Debnam-Carey was born on July 20, 1993. She is an actress from Australia. She grew up in Sydney, and graduated from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in 2011 where she was a percussionist. In 2010, in partnership with the Berlin Philharmonic, she and around 40 other musicians worked together, composed a piece together in a two week program. In her last year of school, Debnam-Carey took her HSC exams and managed to get top band in six of her courses. Debnam-Carey also received the Premier's award for receiving 90's in 6 subjects.

Kyra Zagorsky was born in New York and raised in Colorado. She grew up an outdoors enthusiast, an athlete and a dancer. She received a BFA in theatre from Southern Oregon University in Ashland and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of California. Kyra played leading roles in regional theatre across the U.S. until she made the transition to TV and Film in 2007. Her breakout role was Dr. Julia Walker in Ron Moore's "Helix". In 2020 Kyra completed her Master of Arts Degree in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design where she received the Honors and Achievement award.

Jaimie Alexander was born in Greenville, South Carolina, but moved with her family to Grapevine, Texas, when she was four years old. She took theatre classes in grade school as a hobby but was kicked out in high school because she could not sing, and so she took up sports instead. At age 17 she substituted for a friend at a meeting with a scouting agency and she met her manager, Randy James, who sent her some scripts. Madeleine Mantock is a British actress. Madeleine attended Arts Educational Schools, London where she obtained her BA in Musical Theater.
