Most Sexist Movies

All these teenage girls who worship the Twilight books and movies - its just horrifying to think this is what they are obsessed with. In the movie, after vampire Edward marries his long time love, the human Bella, he has sex with her and finds out that he had bruised her during the act. But Bella is perfectly alright with it - making it look like if your boyfriend bruises you in some way, its no big deal. Then she becomes pregnant and it goes bigger at an alarming rate, something that could kill her. And Bella wants to keep the baby no matter what the pregnancy could do to her (which almost kill her in the end). So even they get an unwanted pregnancy, it teaches girls to have the baby no matter what, even if it ruins their lives. Its unacceptable. How can these people be so shameless?

They call this a masterpiece, but I would have liked it if there wasn't such a dispicable misogynistic tone to it. A woman is slapped and shot by gangsters while a man is brutally beaten, yet kept alive. Another woman has a gun pointed to her tits for no particular reason. A woman, portrayed as a masochist is raped. The same woman is verbally abused because she's female. The "protoganist" brutally rapes the love of his life (with many thinking she incited him)
I think the director had an issue with women for sure, as it was shown in his other films as well.

This film basically made me hate the series forever. Middle aged women owning things most people could only dream of having; designer clothes, kids, nice husbands, insanely big apartments and houses and great jobs. But they're still not satisfied. They cry, moan and weep over how horribly difficult their lives are. I can't stand any of it!

It's not funny, its not smart and it makes women look like uptight bitches, while the men are portrayed as lovable guys. Really Judd, not cool.

The director John Singleton really messed up this time. It portrays African American women, not one or two of them, but all of them, as shallow sex objects who let men beat them and treat them like dogs. One girl tells her girlfriend that her man, a serial cheater, is no good for her, while her own boyfriend beats her and and treats her as an object. The mother of serial cheater Jody, goes from thug to thug, not caring if he hits her again. And Jody's gilfriend puts up with a lot of crap, but still wants him back.

Criticized for its sexist, misogynistic and homophobic undertones, the film contains one of the most vile rape scenes ever put on film that's overly long, unnecesary and extremely gratuitous.

The fact that all the victims in the film are female and are subjected to the worst forms of torture, rape and murder, all the while with sexist undertones, made it quite the target for controversy.

Not only does Neil Labute demean a perfectly good film by remaking it, he also puts in a protoganist who never stops punching women in the face and who is generaly mean to everyone around him, including kids.

Jessica Alba's character Joyce Lakeland is brutally beaten, by the main character, serial killer Lou Ford, in such a carnal way it looks like torture porn. Yet when Ford kills men, they are spared only with gunshots. Moreover, Joyce is a masochist who likes to be hurt with a belt, and after miraculously surviving the horrific assault, still wants to be with him. A very distasteful dipiction indeed.

Basically nobody liked the movie. Why? Because the protoganists are so arrogant, hateful and horribly misogynistic the film stops being funny and just becomes really annoying.

The first half consists of a group of soldiers being dehumanized by a crazy drill sergeant, making them feel worthless, trained to think of women only as sex objects and routinely humiliated.

Also, there only two women in the whole film. One is a prostitute and the other is a crazy killer. Ugh.

Basically the whole creation of Facebook began in Zuckerberg, upset that his girlfriend had dumped him, takes revenge on her and all other women by creating a website comparing girls and women to farm animals. Thus creating a pattern of new ideas from different people and soon, Facebook was created.
It also features a rather racist portrayal of an asian girl who is totally possessive and almost burns down a house of her boyfriend.

This is basically a movie about punishing women. The real misogynistic part of the bible shown in a contemporary situation: Girl gets tempted by the devil, she becomes a devil, she is punished and the devil goes away scot free to ruin other women.
It also disparages a lot of groups: HIV patients, gays, African Americans and of course women.

The fact that in this sequel, they make all the victims female, and all the female characters flat, stereotypical and boring is somewhat iffy.
Also there is so much hate and violence against the women for the simple sadistic pleasure of the villains in the film, it's quite repulsive.

This film is really great. But my problem with it is that there are no good lead female characters. The one lead that could have been a great character, Maggie Pistone (Anne Heche) is portrayed as a nagging bitch wife who is totally dislikable, and everyone in the audience cheers when she is hit by her husband.

For one thing, the real Maggie Pistone was nothing like her and accepted what her husband had to do. Exactly as he said in the film, Joe would have never gone through with the undercover job if she couldn't handle it. And it makes her into a bitch when she wants to divorce him.

The film is 90 percent Hollywood and 10 percent of the book. There is also the scene where the mobsters brutally beat up a Japanese waiter that never happened in reality. Yet another violent scene that was not needed.

Yeah, I agree with the critics, this film is definitely misogynistic. Every woman in the film is portrayed as either weak, vulnerable or disempowered in some way.

Douchebag gets girl - and a lot of crazy video game characters, including a scantily clad woman as a source of desire. Yeah totally not sexist :(

The main female character's life is revolved obsessively around her husband. She cries hysterically when he leaves for work. And when he gets into a crippling accident, she still does whatever he asks - including sleeping around with other men. In the end, she gets raped and killed to save her husbands life, and is rewarded in heaven. What utter rubbish!

Bertolucci basically displayed his ultimate sexual fantasy on film. Which involves Brando *beep* Maria when he wants and however he wants, saying mean things to her, hardly listening to her and even rapes her on one occasion. Maria is naked for about 80 percent of the movie, while Brando is hardly naked at all, because the director "saw himself in Brando" and therefore refused to have him do nude scenes.

Also, the rape scene made without Maria's knowledge or consent, just so the director could get a "real reaction" from her. She suffered from depression and trauma years after the event. It's a despicable, nasty way of filmmaking and it should never have happened.

This is the classic, modern day misogynistic movie. Rather than blatantly condemn the extremity of the behaviour seen on screen, it unfortunately re-enforces it.

All the women in the film are presented as nothing more than trophy wives or girlfriends. When Naomi, Jordan's second wife, tells him she wants a divorce after he basically rapes her, he beats her and tries to kidnap his own daughter, almost killing her when he drives intoxicated.

Trying to make non-consensual sexual sadism look romantic and enamouring is just outrageous. But the worst of it was the way director Adrian Lyn treated his female lead Kim Basinger off set. He psychologically tortured her and even encouraged her co-star Mickey Rourke to physically abuse her just so he could get the proper "reaction" for filming. Ugh.

Pretty much all of Michael Bay's films have severe problems when it comes to their female characters. But the way the camera leers at Megan Fox's body as she talks about engineering is fucking atrocious. The filmmakers are basically saying to audience: "Don't pay attention to what this girl has to say, just check out that rack and that ass! Wouah!"

Trivialising rape, extreme racism and misogyny throughout and an appallingly douchy main character. Sorry Tony, your dance moves may be amazing, but you are a tiresome macho scumbag.

This is a film about hating Marilyn Monroe. The director completely misunderstood what she was really like and instead focused on her being violated again and again, showing her naked, showing her crying and sometimes all three. It's a terrible insult to her legacy and it made me feel dirty while watching it.
