Pran Nath lives a poor life-style with his wife and young son, Sanju. On 12Dec, Sanju's birthday, the police raid his house, find stolen jewelery that belongs to his employer, he is arrested, tried in court, found guilty, and sentenced to 3 years in prison. On the way to the prison, there is an accident and all travelers are killed. His wife and Sanju re-locate, but Sanju is abducted by Chinaramu, & trained to be a criminal at a young age. Years later, Sanju has grown up, is now known as Shankar, has no knowledge of his parents' whereabouts, and is a career criminal. He comes to the rescue of a village belle named Champa and both fall in love. They find out that Champa's brother, Birju, is in jail, arrested for murder. Both know that Birju is not guilty, and swear to find out who the killer is. Before they could anything, Shankar himself is arrested and held in a cell - and the charge is cold-blooded murder of a pregnant woman named Seema. Watch what happens when Champa finds out that Shankar may have been two-timing her, leaving the onus on her alone to get evidence to free Birju.

An honest lawyer, Vishwanath is implicated and imprisoned at the behest of powerful underworld don, GNK and his associates. After his release from prison, Vishwanath decides to seek vengeance, but finds out that it is virtually impossible to do this through due process of law. So he decides to change his identity, hire a gang of crooks and assassins, to carry out his vendetta. Not realizing that in doing this he is alienating himself from the love of his life, Soni; and making himself a wanted man by the police, leaving his crippled sister, Munni and mom, Shanti to fend for themselves, and at the mercy of GNK and his associates.

Widower Raka lives a poor lifestyle in Dhangaon, along with two daughters, Bina and Asha, and makes a living as a farmer in a region controlled by Thakur Harnam Singh. Due to drought there is famine, the entire village pleads with Harnam for food, and he agrees to do so provided one person from each family tends his fields for free. Most villagers agree, but Raka doesn't, and he gets killed. Before dying, he entrusts his daughter to a crippled ex-army Colonel. Years later, both girls have grown up, while the region is still controlled by Harnam as well as his son, Ranjeet. There appears to be no hope for the hapless villagers who continue slaving for Harnam. Then Dr. Ajay, the son of Sarju, one of Harnam's bonded laborers, returns home. He witnesses the plight of his fellow-villagers and his dad, and decides to challenge Harnam and Ranjeet - not realizing that no one from the village will dare to stand with him, and he, as well as his aunt and dad face nothing but torture and death by the oppressive Thakur, his son, and their goons.

Sheru (Shatrughan Sinha) and Vicky (Sunil Dutt) are two gangleaders. After a series of complications and mishaps both realize that they will be better off being friends and helping the poor and needy. They also fall in love with two separate women, one of them is Lacho (Reena Roy). When these two turn good guys, the bad guy's leader Banwanri (Ranjeet) gets angry and vengeful. Fortunately, for our two heroes get support from a honest police inspector (Premnath). Then Sheru finds out that Lacho really loves Vicky and his son, this embittered them both against each other. And the two again resume their old rivalry and hatred for each other.

The only problem facing Heera is his arch-rival, Moti, who will never let Heera steal the crown. The two must face each other, before they attempt to steal the crown. Watch as events unfold and who, in fact, will manage to steal the crown.

Harimohan lives with his wife, Shanta, and a his young son named, Sunil. He works for a lecherous male, who would like to have sex with Shanta. One night while Harimohan is sent on an errand, the boss molests Shanta, but due to bad weather, Harimohan returns early just in time to stop his boss from raping Shanta. A fight ensues between his boss and himself, and a result his boss is killed. Harimohan makes a run for it in his boss' car, which meets with an accident, and he is believed to have been killed. This news devastates Shanta. Years go by, Shanta has got used to living a widow's life. Sunil has grown up to be a police inspector. Sunil works undercover, and meets with Baldev Mittal, the only son of Gopaldas Mittal. Baldev is rich and arrogant, and as this results in a clash between these two young men. When a young woman, Sunita, is killed, Sunil finds evidence linking her death with Baldev, and he arrests him, and has him tried for murder. What Sunil does not know that Gopaldas Mittal has an alias - that of Saakhia - a notorious and influential gangster who will never let anyone stand in his way. Sunil also does not know that Saakhia is none other than his own biological father, who is still alive, and has taken to a life of crime.
