What the hell happened here?We live in a world where Bloom and not Bean became a star after LOTR.Bean as Boromir is pure cinema gold from first frame to last and when he goes,so goes the ambiguity and shades and complex layers of grey and it´s evil vs. good. Plus,if you play the baddie and do it great,you pay your deuce and get your name on the posters at some point. He muscled Michael Douglas,chased Ewan McGregor and Scarlett and was a surprisingly understandable baddie in National treasure...but his name kept sliding further down and...no more good roles.Hollywood killed Sean Bean.But he was great,wasn´t he?

The loveliest psychopath.He and Garcia should´ve been the new DeNiros and Pacinos IMO but they really blew it. Identity,Narc,Unlawful entry,he got his redemption in Copland and...Goodfellas is cult. Amazing screenpresence.Funny in Observe ´n report.Still,we expected more,Ray.

Hmm,any good performances in good films? A few. Mememto. L.A confidential,Iron man 3,The count of Monte cristo,The kings speech,Animal kingdom,Traitor,Prometheus,a marvelously psychotic and creepy job în Lawless. Give the guy with such high,goodlooking cheekbones that he becomes ...uglish...bigger roles. His versatility deserves recognition...he earned it.

Watch 21 grams..Then put on The usual Suspects....then Sin City and Basquiat.Follow up with Traffic,then Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.Then you watch Things we lost in the fire.Then Snatch,Che,The Pledge,The fan and The way of the gun and it will at times be hard to believe it´s the same actor.It´s the bags under his eyes that give him away. No other actor in Hollywood erases his own personality and becomes his character like Del Toro.

One of few actors who use voiceacting;high-pitched and incoherent in The usuals,hoarse and a voice filled with angst in TWLITF,raspy,whisky and the sound of menace in Sin City,....he changes his bodylanguage and mannerisms and is the definition of a true,great actor. It saddens me that he didn´t make more movies while young and on a hot streak.The man.

Like Benicio,An A-lister on the lower bottom of the A.Troy,Chopper,Munich,The other Boleyn girl,Romulus,my father,Star Trek,Deadfall.Funny people. HOW can a studio market a film with Sandler,Seth Rogen,the directors wife Leslie Mann....WITHOUT billing Bana? I can not think of a good argument why. Would LESS people see the film if Erics presence was known?No,he got punked there,especially with it not saying AND Eric Bana or not naming him at all,a "glorified cameo"would be more respectful...

Eric isn´t quite where deserves to be. See him kick some serious anus in Hanna with Blanchett. A great,versatile actor who will be around long after all the pretty boys have come and gone. I hope...Think?

Charisma and talent through the roof. Highlights are Millers crossing,The usual suspects,Jindabyne and...HIS interpretation of Satan in End of Days.The movie is so-so,Gabriel is a riot.What could´ve been...

With his resume,it feels pretty weird to have him here but despite Zodiac,You can count on me,Collateral,What doesn´t kill you,Brothers Bloom,The constant romantic lead against Witherspoon, Aniston,Palthrow and Garner,In the cut and constant billing for about 7 years(His role in Shutter Island didn´t do him much good,only actor Scorcese severly misused and abused),critics has constantly said"This might be the breakthrough role for him" or"Might be on his way to stardom" and showed a constant reluctance to let him into the big leagues officially.

It took a charming,immature and wellmeaning idiot to get his first Oscarnomination....if you don´t know who Mark Ruffalo is,you don´t know film,simple as that.

Hmmm....A fat,ugly(okay,not attractive to heterosexual men...or women. Kiddin´),old,ginger irishman...with his resume...is that not testament to his talent alone,having lead roles in Hollywood like his powerhouseperformances in The Guard and In Bruges?Well,he never steals the show but is always great. Dark Blue,Cold Mountain,Kingdom of Heaven,Gangs of New York,Braveheart,28 Days later,Troy...the undisputed king of supporting roles in epics.

A wonderful actor,who might get an Oscarnom with his marvellous turn in The guard. One of the best alive. And he seems like a really nice fella...

He was great,IS great(Jimmy the saint in Things to do in Denver when you´re dead is cult.He will never be better then there) but time went by,not enough good parts and...he got old.Shame.He breaks my heart in Black Rain,presumably wins womens hearts in When a man loves a woman and is wonderful in City Island and The untouchables.

Okay...what the hell happened? Did Travolta bring him down on his way up with Battlefield strawberry? Seems so...so much potential and besides Saving p..,in 25th hour,he outshines his overrated costar and steals the show. Cool guy....magnetic as an intense,dedicated narc in Snitch recently,only to redefine an actors descend into typecasting into oblivion in The lone ranger as G.Custer;close range career suicide....

Heat,Saving private Ryan,Natural born killers,Enemy of the state, Black Hawk down. Why people confuse him with Madsen is beyond me,although they both gained most success and mostly are/were casted in roles with authority,either gangster or cop...or Scagnetti. His fight against drugs that has been going on for 30 years seem to have gotten the better of him and I feel sorry for him...and thank him for some very great performances.

The most under-rated of the BLACK,black actors? Those who only get a certain type of roles? I think so. His work in The cider house rules,Heist and especially Clockers made promises...that weren´t kept.But he´s got that something that can make him come off as caring and sympathetic,then become a very scary,intimidating man in a heartbeat. Cool dude.

Might not have the most range but he is talented and must be scratching his head. Pushing 50 years,looking 36 and his resume might be a bit sad,a combo of bad choices and bad options.Carlitos Way,Moulin Rouge,Summer of Sam and the lowbudget but effective TV-show The kill point are highlights.

"Tiger Wooo...I like him." Peoples Hernandez blew me away and he does not get the roles he deserves,Clooney basically abused him in Ides of March,casting him only to have him say five lines....but he has range like crazy and just like Benicio,he TRANSFORMS into the character. Colin Powell in W,Bill Murrays private P.I neighbor in Broken Flowers,that small but wonderful role as a disturbed war vet in The Manchurian candidate? He the man too.

Has a very small but pivotal role in one of my favourites of a sucky 2011,The debt. Best Julius Ceasar ever and his voice of reason and morally conflicted Carl with the glasses and the pipe in Munich...worthy of an Oscarnomination,he was best in show there. I hope for some interesting supporting..or lead work for this gifted guy who has the face of a majestic statue.

You don´t know Pants,ya don´t know film. Sopranos sort of died with his hilarious,sick Ralph Cipharetto. His work as Ceasar in Bound remains one of the best Gangstersportayals I´ve ever seen. The traitor Cypher in Matrix,cap.Howard in Bad boys 1& 2....should´ve gotten more respect from you,he sure is better then Keanu,Bloom,Paul Walker etc...

Come on...he beats up a hooker and does coke,Hollywood condemns him,Sheen does it and become a trillionaire?No,True Romance,Broken Arrow,I liked Windtalkers,He was a quiet man,Bobby,Love lies bleeding(For his psycho-cop only)...looking forward to Soldiers of Fortune,with Slater,Sean Bean,freddy Rodriguez,Dominic Monaghan,James Cromwell and Ving Rhames. Anyhow,he has talent,I like him.

Oscarnommed in his first role in 20 years,Little children,he has continued to amaze. His tender,almost juvenile voice seems to be able to become whatever voice he wants. Rorschach and Freddy Kreuger are raspy,deep and menacing,in Shutter Island,he sounds like just another man...compensates lack of great charisma with an amazing talent but will never really be an A-lister,though he occassionally might be allowed to come up and play....

Since I´ve realized Denzel survives and prospers on his extreme charisma alone,I would suggest him passing the torch to Howard. His work in Hustle and flow was amazing and he took four scenes in Crash and just crushed it.

Has the mannerisms and appearance that makes it easier for the viewer to see him in a "white" role,since he interacts more natural with them,like Zoe Zaldana,Denzel or Gabrielle Union. I was waiting for years for this guy to breakthrough and now that he has,his choices aren´t the best....but he deserves a juicy role. Very big range....

Inception is called the 13th best film ever...but it didn´t benefit many actors and why? Cause the concept is the star and most actors irrelevant,didn´t see a Berenger-comeback exactly...but Murphy. He stars alongside Timberlake and Seyfried and isn´t billed?

I rather see him typecasted as a sophisticated sociopath alá Red Eye or Batman begins then a blank role like that...so much potential(just look at Peacock),can display evil and emotional pain just as good and I hope he isn´t tricked by a concept again....

Very good. Crossings overs only great acting job. He also has Sunshine,Training Day and Once were Warriors on his resume. Unfortunately,he accepts roles like the one in 10,000 BC and he...never mind,think I made my case.

Famous,yes but come on!! This is one of the greats,what are Hollywood doing to him? 1. give him better roles 2. His Oscar already...mindblowing resume with A history of Violence,The Abyss,The Rock,Eye for an eye,The hours,Pollock,Enemy at the gates etc...madness living next door to genius. Him,that is.
