A robbery movie from start to finish. No distractions, except for the tantalising appearances of the heroine to the tune of the superb musical score. A brilliant tour de force with a twist in the tale and also a great ending to top it all.

Packaged as a revenge drama, the main plot is based on robbing a poor landlord of his land. The suspense lies in what makes the land worth the murder of the landlord and his kids. Enter his new bride now turned widow who teams up with a falsely accused outlaw and a harmonica playing stranger against the murderer. Brilliantly played by Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson.

The robbery movie of all time. A cat and mouse game with the local cops who stumble onto the plot at the very begining and turn one of the gang into an informant. Brilliant timing and clockwork allow for a daring museum robbery in Istanbul. In the end however it is a 'little bird' that 'tells all'.

A fun movie. Stylish. With burglary capers by a Diabolik going against the French police force and the Mafia together, and pulling off impossible feats of entry and escape in one after another fun episodes. The ending leaves an impact.

Top stars in meagre roles. The robberies of the top Las Vegas casinos are bland and unconvincing. But the movie itself is tops. Clear characterisation of main roles helps to keep the movie going from witty to charming. A great ending.

To rob Fort Knox. Given the format of a Bond movie to prop up this implausible idea, the movie proves to be quite convincing in its basic premise to loot the gold of Fort Knox. Of course the villain Goldfinger has other ideas about the gold and Bond has a mission to accompolish. Great performances, especially the 'game of wits' played on a golf course.

A well planned and well executed bank robbery comes under scrutiny of an experienced cop and a trainee on his first assignment. The chase of the robbers leads to an ingenious plot robbing the robbers by the mastermind behind the scenes. Great plot. Superb climax. Brilliant reasoning lies behind modus operandi and also behind the unravelling of the suspense behind the robbery.

Faye Dunaway is the investigator and uses her outlandish ideas to identify the robber of a bank. Steve McQueen plays the banker who pulls off the heist and then falls for the wrong woman. He allows her to crack the case by setting up another bank job. The climax is the best ever in a Hollywood movie.

A classic Western of all time. Robert Redford and Paul Newman complement each other brilliantly. With superbly directed scenes like the jump off the waterfall. The relentless pursuit by an unseen posse of lawmen adds to the suspense and tension of the movie. The humorous scenes offset the otherwise tense atmosphere. The ending is like never before or since.
