When it comes to those interlinked stories that come together with a large set of characters, this is the movie I think of. The performances, especially Tom Cruise and John C. Reily really pull me into this movie and the themes that each of these characters represent with another character is great too. Especially the relationship between the Quiz Kid Stanley and his dad. And the soundtrack is one of the best moving soundtracks I've ever heard. Aimee Mann and Jon Brion have amazing songs and scores that truly represent the mood and atmosphere of the stories. And best of all, the direction is fantastic showing each of these people's points of views and how they live their lives in the San Fernando Valley. I really really love this film.
