Steve Irwin was born in 1962 to parents Lyn and Bob Irwin, who were animal naturalists. He shared the love for animals all his life, stemming from being raised at the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park. There, he partook in daily duties of animal feeding and care. He quickly established himself with the Queenland's government on the process of the country's Crocodile Relocation Program, in which the reptiles could be transferred and relocated to proper localties in the most absolute humane, non-tranquilizing manner. He frequently implements the non-tranquilizing factor in his televison show The Crocodile Hunter's Croc Files (1999). Steve married fellow naturalist, Terri Irwin (Baines) in 1992. She joined him in his adventures and efforts in almost every episode of his show. They had one daughter, Bindi Sue Irwin, who was born July 24, 1998. He died in September 2006 following an attack by a stingray, off the Great Barrier Reef.

Bear Grylls was born on 7 June 1974 in Isle of Wight, England, UK. He is a producer and writer, known for Arthur the King (2024), You vs. Wild (2019) and You vs. Wild: Out Cold (2021). He has been married to Shara Cannings-Knight since 19 January 2000. They have three children.

Malcolm Douglas was born on 14 March 1941 in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. He was a director and producer, known for Across the Top (1968), Malcolm Douglas in the Bush (2009) and North to Niugini (1979). He was married to Valerie. He died on 23 September 2010 in Broome, Western Australia, Australia.

Major Les Hiddins of the Australian Army was born in Queensland and was always interested in Aboriginal customs and practices and how those practices helped a people survive in a hostile environment for thousands of years. When he joined the Army he developed this interest into a skill and put it to good use. Learning how to survive in the Australian bush and then to teach others the same skills. He wrote various survival manuals for the Australian Armed forces and added survival notes to the back of maps used by pilots flying over the Australian bush.

A natural communicator and enthusiast for his subject he fronted a series of TV programmes, Bush Tucker Man (1987), where he shared his knowledge with the TV audience.

These were followed by another series where Les investigated Great Stories of Survival in and around the Australian continent.

His films and stories cover many classic Aussie themes such as iconic Folklore such as in his 2011 film "Oakie's Outback Adventures" and his love for the outback.
