Least Favorite Movies
All the movies I can remember that I really disliked. I'm sure I'm forgetting some because, frankly, I don't want to think too hard remembering these.

- DirectorGabriele MuccinoStarsWill SmithRosario DawsonWoody HarrelsonA man with a fateful secret embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers.A melodramatic, head-scratcher of a film that builds to one of the most contrived, ridiculous, and pointless endings, like, ever. Rosario Dawson is charming and gorgeous as always, but she's the only good thing about this. Even the usually dependable Will Smith overacts his way through this one.
- DirectorRobert RodriguezStarsDaryl SabaraAlexa PenaVegaAntonio BanderasCarmen's caught in a virtual reality game designed by the Kids' new nemesis, the Toymaker. It's up to Juni to save his sister, and ultimately the world.
- DirectorFrederik Du ChauStarsFrankie MunizDavid SpadeSnoop DoggAn abandoned zebra grows up believing he is a racehorse, and, with the help of his barnyard friends and a teenage girl, sets out to achieve his dream of racing with thoroughbreds.Cheesy in the worst way.
- DirectorAnthony MinghellaStarsRalph FiennesJuliette BinocheWillem DafoeAt the close of World War II, a young nurse tends to a badly burned plane crash victim. His past is shown in flashbacks, revealing an involvement in a fateful love affair. This is the one I have the most disagreements with people about; I mean, it won Best Picture at the Oscars. Personally, I couldn't buy any part of the Ralph Fiennes-Kristin Scott-Thomas side of the story. Their romance had little more than the occasional gag reflex on me. Like Juliette Binoche a lot, though. Of course.
- DirectorEric ValetteStarsEdward BurnsShannyn SossamonAna Claudia TalancónSeveral people start receiving voice-mails from their future selves - messages which include the date, time, and some of the details of their deaths.Terrible, unscary, and boring 'horror' film.
- DirectorMasayuki OchiaiStarsJoshua JacksonRachael TaylorJames KysonA newly married couple discovers disturbing, ghostly images in photographs they develop after a tragic accident. Fearing the manifestations may be connected, they investigate and learn that some mysteries are better left unsolved.See above. And don't forget bad acting.
- DirectorGavin HoodStarsHugh JackmanLiev SchreiberRyan ReynoldsThe early years of James Logan, featuring his rivalry with his brother Victor Creed, his service in the special forces team Weapon X, and his experimentation into the metal-lined mutant Wolverine.Oh gosh. I was such a big X-Men fan, but this is the one where they started going downhill; I was not a fan of X-Men: First Class this year, either.
- DirectorChris ColumbusStarsLogan LermanKevin McKiddSteve CooganA teenager discovers he's the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods.Horrible acting made worse by terrible writing.
- DirectorM. Night ShyamalanStarsMark WahlbergZooey DeschanelJohn LeguizamoA science teacher, his wife, and a young girl struggle to survive a plague that causes those infected to commit suicide. This is bizarre. I've loved almost all of M. Night Shamalyan (or however the heck you spell his name) other movies, even the much-maligned Lady in the Water. But something was wierdly off here: The actors have all given good performances in other films, but somehow every line here seems to be delivered like an overly earnest little kid. I literally kept wondering if there was some intentional reasoning behind the strange performances, like some end twist. But there wasn't. It was just bad.
- DirectorKevin GreutertStarsTobin BellCostas MandylorBetsy RussellAs a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror. This is the only Saw movie friends finally dragged me to. I hated it as much as I expected to. This applies to every Saw movie because I'm sure they're all crap.
**To clarify, I like horror films. I don't like ridiculous, sick, mindless gore fests. - DirectorChris WeitzStarsKristen StewartRobert PattinsonTaylor LautnerAfter Edward leaves because of an incident involving Bella, Jacob Black becomes her best friend. But what Bella doesn't realize is that Jacob also has a secret that will change their lives suddenly. The last Twilight movie I let my sister's drag me to. Ugh.
- DirectorPaul WeitzStarsHugh GrantDennis QuaidMandy MooreA popular television music talent competition hosted by a pompous egomaniac becomes the setting for an assassination attempt when the President of the United States becomes a celebrity judge in an attempt to rehabilitate his image.Satire that somehow just doesn't work. Not funny, just slow and outrageous (somehow simultaneously).
- DirectorJohn GatinsStarsKurt RussellDakota FanningOded FehrCale Crane catalyzes the rescue and rehabilitation of Sonador, a race horse with a broken leg.
- DirectorDavid DobkinStarsVince VaughnPaul GiamattiElizabeth BanksFred Claus, Santa's bitter older brother, is forced to move to the North Pole to help Santa and the elves prepare for Christmas in exchange for cash. Some funny moments (and such promise from the trailer), but cameos from the likes of Ludacris AND Kevin Spacey make this almost turn into a mockery. So when it tries to become a sweet Christmas film, it's a little insulting.
- DirectorJoe JohnstonStarsViggo MortensenOmar SharifZuleikha RobinsonIn 1890, a down-and-out cowboy and his horse travel to Arabia to compete in a deadly cross desert horse race.
- DirectorJohn WooStarsTom CruiseDougray ScottThandiwe NewtonIMF agent Ethan Hunt is sent to Sydney to find and destroy a genetically modified disease called "Chimera".Let's just say there were far too many slow-motion car chases and fight sequences to abide.
- DirectorMark Steven JohnsonStarsBen AffleckJennifer GarnerColin FarrellA man blinded by toxic waste which also enhanced his remaining senses fights crime as an acrobatic martial arts superhero.A superhero movie that's no fun, and even less exciting.
