Charice’s album “CHARICE” made US history – Charice is the 1st Asian EVER to have a US Billboard Top 10 album. Also, her single “Pyramid” was #1 on the US Billboard dance chart and both single releases charted on the US Billboard Hot100.

Charice just completed a sold-out solo tour in Japan where her album went Platinum. She also beat out some of my other favorites like Bruno Mars & Justin Bieber and Ke$ha to win the J-WAVE “Best New Artist” Award (a BiG deal in Japan)

Charice has a recurring role on GLEE as Sunshine Corazon. She was in a song-off with Rachel Berry in the Season 2 premier singing “Telephone” and also did a solo of “Listen” as her audition for New Directions. Both became Billboard Top 40 hits. Charice will be in several of the last six episodes coming up starting on April 19th. Check-out her videos on Youtube, they total over 300 million views. Charice is also a sweet, giving young woman of 18 that has worked really hard for her success! Charice is famous for her willingness to sing requested songs or do impersonations during interviews.

No autotune needed as Charice was named by Oprah as the "Most Talented Girl in The World" for good reason. In addition to GLEE you can watch Charice on television as part of the PBS "Great Performances" series with David Foster. The only mistake Pia Toscano made on American Idol was singing "All By Myself" at the same time Charice released it on the "Hitman Returns" album. As great as Pia's retention was, Charice put her to shame. No one within 10 years of Charice's age can compete with her voice.

Jackie Evancho (e-VANK-oh), who just turned 11, made a name for herself in August 2010 when she appeared on America’s Got Talent. She came in second in that competition, but it scarcely mattered. In mid-November, she released a Christmas album (O Holy Night) that became a platinum-seller less than a month later.

Before becoming a successful solo artist, Hernandez was an acknowledged music producer, writing hit songs for a variety of well known artists and as a featured vocalist for many as well. But then came 2010 and he did shine as a solo act even winning a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. At age 25 he is almost out of the young singer category but I'm sure he will be a shinning star for years to come.

At the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009, Adele Adkins won awards in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. She was also nominated in the categories of Record of the Year and Song of the Year. In 2010, Adele received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Hometown Glory". She has described her musical style as "heartbroken soul." As of April 2011, Adele sold the most albums of all artists in 2011 in the USA in so far, selling a total of 1,070,000 albums. Not bad for a 22 year old singer/songwriter.

What she lacks in vocal talent she more than makes-up as a stellar songwriter with a winner's attitude. She already has a ton of awards in both Country & Pop music and she is just 21. She just added Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

In 2009, Swift netted several awards for her work on Fearless, including "Video of the Year" and "Female Video of the Year" for "Love Story" at the CMT Music Awards. However, her most famous moment came on September 13, 2009, when Swift also won the MTV Video Music Award for "Best Female Video," making her the first country music star to win an MTV Video Music Award. The win stirred controversy when rapper Kanye West leapt to the stage during Swift's speech, took the microphone, and delcared that R&B singer Beyoncé should have won Swift's award.

Born & raised in Barbados, Rihanna Fenty was originally marketed as a reggae singer but evolved to include various styles of musical genres, including contemporary R&B, dance-pop and the Caribbean music styles of reggae and dancehall. Oozing sex appeal and controversy has certainly added to her stardom but there is an excellent voice behind her performance talent. More popular in England than the US, this 23 year old star has sold over 15 million albums worldwide.

Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown 22 is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. He made his recording debut in late 2005 with the self-titled album Chris Brown at the age of 16. The album featured the hit single "Run It!", which topped the Billboard Hot 100, making Brown the first male artist to have his debut single top the chart since Montell Jordan in 1995. The album has sold over two million copies in the United States.

In addition to his solo commercial success, Brown has been featured on several hits such as "No Air", a duet with singer Jordin Sparks, "Shortie like Mine" with the rapper Bow Wow and "Shawty Get Loose" alongside Lil Mama and T-Pain. The songs have peaked on number three, number nine and number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 respectively. Due to his dance routines, Brown has been compared to renowned R&B artists such as Usher and Michael Jackson, citing both as large influences on his music.

Stefani Germanotta age 25 is the ultimate performance artist with a good voice and killer instincts for acquiring fame. Gaga has been influenced by glam rock artists such as David Bowie and Queen, as well as pop music artists such as Madonna, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson.

The Queen song "Radio Ga Ga" inspired her stage name, "Lady Gaga". Critical reception of Gaga's music, fashion sense and persona are mixed. Her status as a trailblazer and fashion icon is by turns affirmed and denied. Gaga's albums have received mostly positive reviews, with critics pointing out her unique place in pop music. The sales have proved her popularity. Barbara Walters chose Gaga as one the "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009" for her annual ABC News special.

Gaga attributes much of her early success as a mainstream artist to her gay fans and is considered to be a gay icon. She has become a strong advocate for the LGBT communities.

Bieber fever may have spread during 2009, but it exploded to a full-on pandemic in March 2010, when the 16-year-old Canadian debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with "My World 2.0." The Biebs has been a top 10 mainstay on the chart ever since. A good singer with 110% "it factor" is on top of the world!

OK, I know, I heard that National Anthem video too. But, 18 year old Demi edges out Kesha Sebert and is the best singer of the current Disney factory group. I consider this a tie with Kesha who has bigger/better hits and great Music Videos, more award nominations but the only time I have heard her actual voice, I was disappointed.
