Best Movies I've Ever Seen

This is by far, the best movie I've ever seen. From the very beginning the story just get you sticked to your seat. The songs are really powerful, as the acting and of course the story. I still can't believe Depp did not win the Academy Award for his performance here.

The way Martin Scorsese developed the story was just magnificent. Leonardo Di Caprio has showed once again that he is a mature actor and one of the best of all time. A masterpiece, a must-see film.

Absolutely brilliant! Brad Pitt at his best. One of the most thrilling movies in history. I still can't understand why this movie didn't win Oscar for best movie, director, actor, production, etc. This is one of the most underrated films ever, by only getting a nomination for Best Film Editing. Nevertheless, I consider it so great that is closing the "podium" of this list. A jewel of cinema.

This film can be considered rightly as the birth of German cinema and is the first German Expressionist film. It is a wonderful reflection of a country deeply fallen into chaos by the WWI. Never before a film has had such an influence on the public life of ordinary citizens.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari’s unique visual style made use of the Expressionist style and an unrelated circular motif in order to stress the inward fears and anxieties felt by many Germans while at the same time forcing them to confront the continual cycle of authoritarian power.

Well, I've seen this film a lot of times and still it breaks my head. I'm trying to solve and decode a lot of things about this film, which in my opinnion is David Lynch's masterpiece. Also, Naomi Watts was brilliant, wonderful!

Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece. This is one of the most violent films I've seen in my whole life, but it is just depicting real life. This is a Cult Film and I think it still will be up-to-date in 100 years from now.

The film's story was inspired by the career of a serial killer in Dusseldorf. In "M,” Franz Becker preys on children -- offering them candy and friendship, and then killing them. "M" is a portrait of a diseased society, one that seems even more decadent than the other portraits of Berlin in the 1930s; its characters have no virtues and lack even attractive vices.

"M" was Lang's first sound picture, and he was wise to use dialogue so sparingly. Many early talkies felt they had to talk all the time, but Lang allows his camera to prowl through the streets and dives, providing a rat's-eye view. The film also has one of the most memorable, brilliant monologues ever seen on a film.

Industrial Revolution is here! This is a classic. More than 80 years has passed since the premiere of Metropolis, and nothing seems to have changed during this long period of time. The workers on the underground and a few powerful at the top.

This is one of the final treasures of German silent Expressionism. This story, set in 17th century England, was written by Victor Hugo, and to put it in a nutshell depicts a good man, condemned to smile widely for an entire lifetime, a man so horribly aware of his disfigurement that he reveals it only on the stage, as a way to earn a living. But the plot is way much more complicated.

This film is a melodrama, at times even a swashbuckler, but so steeped in Expressionist gloom that it plays like a horror film. Because of the director's mastery of visual style, the film is more disturbing than it might have been. Dramatic lighting left much of the screen in darkness. Concealment and enhancement, not revelation, was the assignment of the camera.

Another fantastic performance by Brad Pitt. Edward Norton just shows that he is also a great actor and this is another brilliant movie by David Fincher. A must see.

This is in my oppinion one of the most original films ever made. Of course the main theme of the movie has been depicted before, the way it is showed here is brilliant. Are we connected to another form of reality, and we have no idea what is real or unreal? Fantasic.

I love the timing of this movie. Also I love the fact that the film is depicting German Army and Nazis as the victims of the brutality of war. I never seen this before, so is quite original. Christopher Waltz did just a perfect performance as Colonel Landa.

A beutiful movie, fantastic animation and production as usual from PIXAR Studios. The earth covered in garbage seems to be where we humans are leading our planet whether we want to or not... a movie that makes you think.

Though I did not like this film the first time I saw it because its slow pace, once I rewatched it I could get all the art and the genius behind it. I think about this movie as a manifesto of how we humans are nothing but a speck of dust adrift.

This is for sure an all-time-classic. Marking a whole generation. The story is fluid and very entertaining. Mayny people think that because it is a Schwarzenegger film and there are a lot of bullets flying all over the place, it is a bad film. But, I find this movie quite catchy for its story and performances.

The thing that likes to me the most from this movie is that show the 'human spirit' in all its glory when a big crisis is confronted: afraid, violent, sad, mad and in a few cases caring for each other. Fantastic special effects, though I was expecting that finally in a movie the human race was destroyed.

The most I like from this film (apart from the way the stories begin to interconnect each other) is the Bruce Willis' performance. After some disastrous movies, he showed that he was so good that was up to the challenge of being one of the main characters in a Quentin Tarantino film.

This I'd say is the first Martin Scorsese's horror film. This movie is absolutely brilliant. Is no longer the horror story of evil trying to conquer good. Here the evil is balanced by an overwhelmingly dysfunctional family, bretrayal and mistrust. An absolutely horror classic.

As usual, Stanley Kubrick is masterful. Once again he showed that his mind was ahead in time and not everybody was able to see the genius of this movie. Now, 31 years after its premiere, is considerer one of the jewels of cinema and I highly recommend it.

This movie is fantastic! The most impressive feature there is the lighting. Absolutely brilliant production and performance by everybody involved. A must-see!

The life of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, showing the real picture about his pursuit for making euthanasia a legal procedure. Fantastic performance by Al Pacino and by everybody involved. Great direction and photography.
