Season's greetings truly portrays how feelings and heart felt messages count even in today's digital material world. Although digital apps are widely used today to connect, and convey the same message, a greeting card is just tangible. It conveys the talent, emotion, passion and art of an artist which can be touched and felt.
The Holiday card made by Will Harrington for his grandfather as a kid reminds me of the cards my 5 year old daughter makes for me. I have also started saving her cards now in my keepsakes. She'll feel so grateful for this when she grows up.
Seasons Greetings is a breath of fresh air in the long list of holiday movies. It not only stars two very appealing leads but it allows their relationship to develop in a more normal, and relatable time frame. Each is portrayed is portrayed with insight and with sensitivity. The heroine of the story is a hard worker, with sentimental feelings about paper/printed greeting cards. She has friends at work, warm relationships, and is an upbeat, energetic employee. The leading man is more dour, more serious in his wish to move forward into the digital age, and he enters the story with an agenda that is in stark contract to the woman he is going to have to deal with. Their chemistry is quite negative at the outset, with conflicting agendas clashing. But, in this film's effort to be more e realistic, their relationship develops...slowly..over time..months, actually. And as it develops, it grows into something that is quite lovely and loving, with the attraction being plausible and believable.
The leading actress has an incredible flair for physical comedy..She can be serious when needed, but can also be practically goofy in her physical and facial reactions to different situations..She is a delight to watch..and her lightness and emotional availability eventually charm the leading man..and love develops. This is a refreshing departure from typical Hallmark movies that often have no basis for the leads to relate, much less fall in love..and often over a very short period of time. Here, the love story begins, develops, grows and then reaches its resolution with much more logic and believability.
The secondary roles are also portrayed very well..with one exception..the 'other woman' in the story is a bit too much of a caricature....a bit too cruel and without nuance.. But the other players are gifted actors..The leading lady's best friends at work are real, they are different from one another, they have energy, humor, and great dialogue. The older woman lifetime career role is portrayed with gentle sensitivity, as is the grandfather of the new company owner.
All in all, a truly different Hallmark holiday film and one this viewer recommends highly and would watch again,

All in all, a truly different Hallmark holiday film and one this viewer recommends highly and would watch again,
I started watching this several times, then when I finally did see the entire movie, I was amazed I had not finished it before. Unlike the typical Hallmark formula, this one takes place over a year. There is no 3 day romance and engagement, it is more like what happens in real life versus the movies. The biggest - and BEST - difference was the humour in it. It honestly was one of the funniest Hallmark's ever, while keeping a touching love story as part too.
The lead characters really made the movie, but I will say at first Casey Manderson did not appeal to me, it did not take long for this to change. Laura Bell Bundy and Kaylan Miles as her friend, were both hilarious.
There are pieces that did not make sense, like the sister just popping in the story and then never seen again at the end, and the mean corporate lady who was not in the story enough to really be concerned about her. But the story and ending are worth pushing through the first ten minutes.

An OK if predictable daytime TV film. Unfortunately the lead actress is way too annoying. She has an annoying voice, she pulls ridiculous expressions and has an inane grin. I wonder if she was told to over-do the character, someone really needed to tell her to tone it down.
There's a scene when she falls from a chair after being approached from behind - oh dear, if there was an award for the most fake, and overworked scene. Then she's 'drunk' on valentine's night, if I thought she couldn't be mor annoying.................
Predictable and amusing in some parts, the scenes she isn't in!
