Blooper

In one scene, Del is given a book with information written in it. He dismisses the book and haphazardly places it on a random shelf, which is unusual for a librarian. In a later scene, Del is frantically searching for this book he randomly tossed aside. When he finds the book, it is in a different location on the bookshelf than where he originally put it.

While Del is traveling to Palm Springs he takes a red Ford car with Texas plates. The 12/17 registration sticker and the inspection sticker in the window alternate from being present to being replaced by what looks like some sort of parking sticker.

In the opening scene, the door deadbolt latch is is vertical. It unlocks by flipping horizontal. In fact, deadbolt latches work exactly the reverse, although some can be installed improperly by home handymen.

The fireworks' lights and sounds cannot be seen/heard at the same time because of the speed of light. First come the lights, then comes the sound.

After Grace leaves there is one last lake scene where Del is rowing out, and his direction of travel is visible, with the back of the boat--instead of the front--behind him. In the next shot he faces the back of the boat with the front behind him, which is the correct way to row a boat.

When Del is looking through the pictures about 75 minutes in, a white vehicle driving past the window is visible through the curtains.

At approx. 53.50 when Grace is about to walk past some branches,the cameraperson visibly comes through first and the clattering of branches as they hit the camera is audible; then the branches visibly wave as Grace passes through.

At approx. 8:27, the main character is eating in the library and someone is briefly reflected in the window to the upper right of his head, superimposed on the river shore trees.

When Del is arriving in the outskirts of Palm Springs he is first travelling from the east, passing Salton Sea, as is to be expected. In the next scene he is approaching the narrow gap in the mountains that leads from the west, Los Angeles, into the Coachella Valley and the desert around Palm Springs. In the next scene he's approaching from the north in the vicinity of Morongo and Joshua Tree National Park.
