Citazioni25

  • [Kratos dons his Blades of Chaos]
  • Athena: There's nowhere you can hide, Spartan. Put as much distance between you and the truth as you want, it changes nothing. Pretend to be everything you are not: teacher, husband, father. But there is one unavoidable truth you will never escape: You cannot change. You will always be a monster.
  • Kratos: I know. But I am your monster no longer.
  • [Kratos, Atreus and Mimir travel into the Midgard Serpent's gullet]
  • Mimir: Well, brothers, I've been to many strange places, but this will be a new one.
  • Atreus: Heh... yeah, I've never been in a giant's belly, either. How about you, father?
  • Kratos: Never one that was not trying to eat me.
  • Mimir: We really should expect that sort of response at this point...
  • Atreus: What are we hunting?
  • Kratos: You are hunting deer.
  • Atreus: Which way?
  • Kratos: In the direction of deer.
  • Mimir: I'm dangling from the hip of the bloody Ghost of Sparta!
  • Kratos: Do NOT call me that.
  • Mimir: Don't mistake me, brother. From what I heard, the pantheon had it coming. But it's still a bit to take in. I knew you hate gods, but you really can't stay away from them, can you?
  • Kratos: You must say nothing to the boy. He must never know.
  • Mimir: Bollocks, brother! Respectfully, bollocks. He has to know. He'll never be whole without the truth. Look, I get it: you hate the gods, ALL gods. It's no accident that includes yourself. And it includes your boy, don't you see that? He feels that. He can't help what he is - he can't begin to help it, because you haven't even told him! It's all connected, man.
  • Kratos: You... will tell him nothing.
  • Mimir: Very well.
  • Atreus: If we can't bring him back to life... can I keep the head?
  • Kratos: No. But you may feed it to the fish.
  • Kratos: [after Atreus accuses him of not caring about Faye] Mind your tongue, boy! Until our journey is complete, one of us must remain focused! Do not mistake my silence for lack of grief.
  • Atreus: Just some stupid pots, and draugr, no magical treasure, and no whetstone.
  • Kratos: Keep your expectations low boy, and you'll never be disappointed.
  • Kratos: These tunnels are a bit small for giants.
  • Kratos: [Atreus laughs] Why did you laugh?
  • Atreus: Oh, you're serious?
  • Kratos: I am ALWAYS SERIOUS.
  • Mimir: Aye... so you value your privacy more than your son?
  • Kratos: I'm going to cut off your head now.
  • Mimir: Fair enough.
  • [Kratos cuts off Mimir's head]
  • Kratos: Kratos: Close your heart to it. On our journey we will be attacked by all manner of creature. Close your heart to their desperation. Close your heart to their suffering. Do not allow yourself to feel for them. They will not feel for you.
  • Kratos: The Truth. I am a god, boy, from another land, far from here. When I came to these shores, I chose to live as a man.But the truth is... I was born a god. And so were you.
  • Kratos: We will fight it.
  • Atreus: Why?
  • Kratos: Because you are afraid of it.
  • Atreus: [sees the body of a dead beast] What happened to him?
  • Kratos: It died.
  • Atreus: Well... yeah.
  • Mimir: In fact, we would do well to sit here in silence for the next few moments and reflect on Odin's capacity for cruelty.
  • [long pause]
  • Mimir: And so...
  • Kratos: Reflect longer.
  • Atreus: [to Freya] You live alone?
  • Freya: It's better this way.
  • Atreus: Yeah. My father doesn't like people either.
  • Kratos: Boy.
  • Atreus: Well... you don't.
  • Kratos: Boy? Carry her.
  • [gives Atreus his mother's ashes]
  • Mimir: Ah, a sgian dubh from my homeland. Used to have one of my own back in the day.
  • [to Atreus]
  • Mimir: You should take it, boy.
  • Kratos: Yes, boy. Take it. We may need to butter bread somewhere on our travels.
  • Mimir: [to Kratos] This is why no one likes you.
  • Kratos: [after Atreus kills Modi] You killed against my wishes. You lost control.
  • Atreus: Haven't you been teaching me to kill?
  • Kratos: I have been teaching you to survive! We are gods, boy, and that makes us a target. From now until the end of days, you are marked. So I teach you to kill, yes. But in defense of yourself, never as an indulgence.
  • Atreus: Nobody cared about him anyways. What's the difference?
  • Kratos: There are consequences to killing a god!
  • Atreus: Why? How do you know? HOW DO YOU KNOW?
  • Kratos: WATCH. YOUR. TONE. BOY.
  • Atreus: [stalks off] Whatever...
  • Atreus: [Kratos gives Atreus his axe] You're giving me your axe?
  • Kratos: I'm letting you HOLD my axe.
  • Kratos: Don't touch the water.
  • Atreus: Why?
  • Kratos: Do you know what's in the water?
  • Atreus: No... It's pitch black.
  • Kratos: Then don't touch the water.
