From start to finish this episode is everything that you could want it to be. I love the way the relationship feel develops between Lucifer and Father Frank. It starts to show how Lucifer is changing. The piano scene is on point.

For me this is the best episode of this series. It gives the most human value to Lucifer and makes you understand him as a whole.

This episode is the most memorable for me in its first season. It's so well-written, and full of passion and charm, but also the most human, relatable, and empathetic episode where the Devil is placed in the path of a priest (or vice versa). Coleman Domingo's natural acting talent absolutely draws you in and makes you love Father Frank. His onscreen chemistry with Tom Ellis works so well, that you see the subtle transitions of emotion to Lucifer's revelations about the priest. It's the first episode in the series to bring tears, and it's solid writing, directing and acting like this that keeps me coming back.

This is the best episode of the season and one of the best episodes of the whole show, from beginning to the ending. Amazing performance from Colman Domingo playing father Frank. Lucifers character just keeps getting better and better.

Wow, what can I say? This episode is amazing, superb acting, writing, sets, it has it all. Lucifer/Tom Ellis is a revelation in this, I know Tom is a great actor but he went above and beyond here. The end scenes are heartbreaking. I actually cried. Father Frank, what a character I would have loved to have seen more of him.

This episode is so good, clearly one of my favorite. I love every part: lot of strong emotions, deep meaningful dialogues, beautiful story and songs. And the piano scene, perfect! We see many different aspects of Lucifer and it made his caracter even more interresting. Colman Domingo as the priest is really great.

Can a show about Lucifer can show so much humanity!

This story between Lucifer and a priest is a masterpiece!

As for the acting, well... Perfect, brilliant!

I do understand why Tom Ellis do like this episode.

Amenadiel is a hypocrite as he is more than happy to indulge in activities, that he claims to find reprehensible when his, brother Lucifer Morningstar indulges in them.

Amenadiel lectures Lucifer about the dangers of his interactions with humanity and, thereby endeavours to claim the moral high ground against his immoral sibling.

But in reality it is Amenadiel who should be considered as the most immoral of the two brothers, if we are supposed to take orthodox religion seriously.

Religion's alleged reason for its existence is that, it shows the way that humanity should behave, in general and towards each other in particular.

That is the theory and publicity blurb that emanates, from all of the worlds religions large and small.

If we scrutinise the actions that Amenadiel is directly responsible for, then we discover that they run fundamentally counter to the values, that his God is supposed to be promoting.

Why did the Devil in the form of Lucifer Morningstar, ever decide to bother consulting a therapist, is it merely the reality of moving to America to, an epicentre of their consumerist society.

Father Frank Lawrence pays Lucifer Morningstar a somewhat surprise visit at Lux but, the most startling aspect is that he asked him for assistance, to help a young parishioner in trouble.

Not surprisingly this doesn't end well for the Padre in his quest, but matters conspire to turn things around for both of them, when Lucifer decided to proffer sanctuary to the priest.

Malcolm Graham has returned to work at the police precinct and, Daniel Espinoza seemed unduly concerned to hear his news, that he had been assigned to work as his colleague.

For me it was obvious from the beginning what kind of show Lucifer is.

After the pilot episode IMDb's board was full of supporters (even actual satanists believers) of Lucifer who attacked and insult Christianity and religion in general. At the opposite side Christians and "organizations" like one-million-moms were attacking the show trying desperately to get it off the air.

Even after a few episodes, where the premise and purpose of the show became more obvious, both sides were keep insisting on pushing their initial belief.

For the more reasonable and objective viewers though, it was evident that Lucifer is just a light buddy cop series. The story of a "special" unorthodox (pun intended also!) consultant for the police. Maybe even like "Monk" or "The mentalist".

This is the 9th episode and still every episode is pretty much the same. Luci curses his almighty dad. Makes puns and cute comments constantly, and he keeps telling to everyone that he is the devil.

Now is also clear that Satan is a really nice guy. A caring person. His empathy is very strong. Far more than the average human if you ask me. Satan has a golden heart.

There are numerous buddy cop series out there following that formula: An officer of the law and a "special consultant". The problem with Lucifer is that it doesn't seems to have evolved in any way, which might hit you as a surprise if you consider the countless possibilities.

Other similar shows have done it though, like "Second Chance", another buddy cop/special consultant series that overpassed my concerns and evolved to something better. Too bad "Second Chance" is going to be canceled, as I'm reading. Lucifer might stay, but honestly doesn't worth it. It's not bad. I would say it is probably good in the sense that...if Satan himself can be a humanist and a good person then maybe there is a hope out there for all of us.
