Atx TV Festival will feature the world premiere of “The Waterfront,” Variety can exclusively announce. The festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas, from May 29-June 1, will kick off opening day with the Netflix and Universal Television drama from creator Kevin Williamson.

Per the logline, the series is inspired by true events and “follows the Buckley family as they struggle to keep their crumbling fishing empire afloat and their legacy intact.” The drama premieres June 19 on Netflix.

Netflix is going behind the scenes of WWE like never before! WWE: Unreal is the platform’s upcoming docuseries that promises to take fans into the WWE writer’s room for the first time. The show is set to premiere in summer 2025 and will focus on how some of the franchise’s iconic storylines come to life. According to the official logline, the drama that takes place offstage is just as intense as it is in the ring, under the spotlight.

In the teaser for the upcoming docuseries, the Chief Content Officer and former wrestler Paul Michael Levesque, better known as Triple H, refers to WWE as a “calculated, coordinated production.” He claims that the docuseries will reveal the truth behind WWE’s shocking plot twists, bitter rivalries, and unpredictable character arcs. Netflix announced WWE: Unreal, a reality series that opens the WWE writers' room to the public for the first time ever. The ten-episode series will break kayfabe, or the illusion that professional wrestling is real, and take viewers behind the scenes of the WWE's creative process. In the trailer, WWE chief creative officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque says “Seven days a week, 365 days a year. This is a calculated, coordinated production. It’s time. We’re gonna lift the curtain." The series is produced by Eli Manning’s Omaha Productions, the WWE, NFL Films, and Skydance Sports.

Netflix will go behind the scenes and into the WWE writers’ room in WWE: Unreal, a new docuseries set for premiere this summer.

Full details remain under wraps, but the docuseries will feature favorite WWE superstars outside of the ring, according to the streamer, “where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.”

We: Unreal is part of Netflix’s expanding partnership with WWE which kicked off in January with Raw, streaming live on Netflix on Mondays at 8 pm Et/5 pm Pt. The landmark 10-year, $5B+ deal with WWE makes the streamer the exclusive home of Raw in the U.S., Canada, UK and Latin America. Additional territories from Netflix’s footprint of more than 190 are to be added over time.

Under the deal, in addition to Monday Night Raw, Netflix is home for all WWE shows and specials outside the U.S including other weekly shows SmackDown and Nxt.

First, the Netflix original legal drama series has been renewed for a fourth season, which the streamer announced back in January. But the bad news? We might not be catching up with Mickey Haller's case in 2025 as the series seems to have been pushed to 2026.

Last month, Netflix also confirmed its programming slate for the rest of 2025, which includes the high-profile and highly anticipated returns of fan-favorite shows like Stranger Things, Emily in Paris, Nobody Wants This, Monster, and so many more. Along with the 2025 lineup confirmation, Netflix also seemed to confirm which shows won't be released this year based on the list's omissions.

Bridgerton, Outer Banks, and Virgin River were among the most popular shows not included in the 2025, but The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 also wasn't highlighted for release this year.

Appearing in all 10 episodes, Zimmer will play Dana Berg, a character from the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence, on which the season is based.

More than three years after its last original episode, When Hope Calls has finally set its Season 2 premiere date at Great American Family.

That started life as a short story by Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin and this take will star Milla Jovovich (Hellboy) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) in what looks set to be an action-packed fantasy/sci-fi adventure.

In the movie, "A Queen sends the powerful and feared sorceress Gray Alys to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide, the drifter Boyce, must outwit and outfight man and demon."

Paul W.S. Anderson co-wrote the script with Constantin Werner, while producers include Jeremy Bolt, Anderson, Jovovich, Bautista, and Jonathan Meisner through their production company Dream Bros Entertainment and Werner.
