What a failure! Worst sound mix in a long time, I got a headache from it. (Watched it on bluray.) The story wasn't much better either. They had an exciting premise but nothing good came out of it.

Completely OTT and stupid bio war film which makes absolutely 0 sense somehow got budgeted and released over a period of seven years! There's some hilarious cut-scenes from the army deployment. Yup that's a couple of caravans being towed after army artillery.
CGI is used but then not used. It's like that they filmed some of it before getting CGI onboard yet forgetting to use CGI to edit out the stupid scenes. Like three onlookers watching the army deploy when the filming location team forgot to remote them from the shoot.
The acting is shouting. The same anti-immigration rhetoric is blasted through the whole movie. This is really boring. The cast are based on appearances over acting ability.
Hilarious budget sequences. Yet they find more actors for the command room than the extras used as the army deployment. Then two fighter jets are scrambled and only one is used? Why?
The plot and the script is absurd. It's got some laugh-out-loud moments just because it's so bad. Definitely one-to-avoid.

...watched the whole thing from start to finish, while folding clothes. Sometimes you find gems in low budget movies. This wasnt the case here.
To put it short; the actors do a good job, and the low budget effects could have been passable, if only the writing and direction hadnt been so bad.
Its been a long time since I saw characters behave so irrational and trivial as they do here...
The movies underlying theme could have been interesting to unfold, albeit pretty obvious, but it cannot sustain the lack of attentive writing and direction.
If I hadnt been folding clothes it would have gotten 1 star...

Basically everything is bad with this movie. Sound is out of sync, plot is just a mess, acting is crap, and everything is stupid. It turns out to be quite fun to watch. Avoid if you want something serious.

Watched to a part where first zombie cop shooting.. .nope . . just so stupid ,in those few mins already showing bad acting and what a mess this movie is. I really don't recommend this to anyone unless you into low budget comedy and love to laugh how failure this movie is. Im never been into swedish movies , thought i give this one a try , since i love zombie movies but ran out of something new to watch but was a bug mistake. Everything is out of sync , audio sucks and i feel like watching punch of headless chickens running around screaming and dont have any idea what they doing or where they going.

The premise of the film is interesting, although it doesn't stand to scrutiny if one looks for realism. Without spoiling that idea, it is difficult to review. Somehow, I felt it was telegraphed from the very beginning, as I was thinking "wouldn't it be interesting if that were the case". And it was!
Unfortunately, most of the film is about idiots running from other idiots, with scenes so low budget that they showed the zombie hordes attacking from the back or only the lower parts. That is jarring, especially considering the plethora of zombie films and series that somehow manage to cover makeup or CGI in their budget. The acting was decent, but the direction and editing left much to be desired. From the standpoint of watching pleasure, this film is awful.
Yet, in the end the story comes together and we realize what the film was supposedly about, in the context of today's Sweden and perhaps the world. Is it worth watching the film for this? I would have to say no. And it's sad, because I feel like I would have wanted to like the film and get into its message. It was just too bad.
Bottom line: the basic idea is intriguing and very apropos these days, but the execution was terrible. Even with good production values, though, that idea would have merely have covered an Outer Limits episode time interval, so I don't think the movie had any chance to begin with. Not recommended.

There is not a single thing that can redeem this movie. I saw direct to TV movies that are way more interesting than this. This is my first time writing a review for a movie only to warn people to stay away. The story is so stupid from the first scene until the last one. It is poorly written, the music was all over, there was no coherent message, they failed big time in establishing the setting (were they in a city? Why does it seems like there were only 50 people in total?), slo mos in parts which are not really not that dramatic, a character became so important to people without any good reason, and many more. This is not a so bad that it's good movie. This is just simply bad.
This film brilliantly uses the trope of "fear of the monster" in a science fiction life-or-death drama setting to interrogate the "fear of the other" (the alien, the outsider, the stranger, the immigrant). It doesn't approach this indirectly as a sub-text, but openly, head-on. This is cleverly woven in as an integral plot point. The characters are naturalistically portrayed, making them quite believable. This is very moot in contemporary European countries, for instance, in this case, Sweden, where the general public is being fed anti-migrant, anti-asylum seeker, anti-refugee rhetoric by right wing political pressure groups, including various governments, and their media outlets. Highly recommended.

Operation Ragnarok: A biological warfare virus is let loose onboard a Swedish submarine turning the crew into Zombiesque violent maniacs. The sub crashes into a dry dock and the virus spreads through a port town infecting the residents. Surviving humans try to take shelter but these zombies retain their intelligence and ability to use guns and other weapons. They shoot down a rescue helicopter. Meanwhile conspiracies are developing among the military to suppress the truth about the outbreak. Some good zombie horde scenes along with close quarter battles. Prejudice and racism divide the survivors but some cooperate. An OK Horror/conspiracy thriller, could have dome more with a bigger budget I reckon. Directed & Written by Fredrik Hiller. On Netflix. 6/10.
Sometimes "zombie" movies run on their own - and there is the pun of the day. Sorry for that - now back to the movie. And the running zombies as I already alluded at. This may not be exactly what you thought of when you read what the movie is about. But it is well made.
Of course like any good zombie movie it has some social issues at its center. It tackles certain things and is not afraid to move on them head to head (again no pun intended). The action is well shot and while you may not entirely agree on the take/ending this takes ... you could call it realistic I reckon. Depending on your morals you may have issues with it. I would hope so I reckon - but it is what it is ...
