I felt that this movie was made for other reasons than cinema making! The characters are out of their natural habitat, they don't speak like that, don't dress like that and certainly kids don't speak English with American accent nor as fluent. The writing was not intact, the ideas were allover the place and the conversations between John savage's character and Mira Sorvino's character were phony, like they were trying hard at pretending. I definitely did not enjoy any of the performances except the goat's! Besides why did the movie need all these unnecessary actors, like Nelly Karim's scene which could have easily been cancelled.

The Goat is a beautiful and powerful film. From the first moments, you can feel the passion behind the story-it's a story that truly needs to be told.
The acting is excellent, especially from the young lead, who shows both vulnerability and strength in a very touching way.
The film deals with a very sensitive topic: the mistreatment and exploitation of young girls. It opens our eyes to the painful reality many girls face, especially in situations of war, poverty, or strict traditions.
Visually, it's stunning. The desert scenes are captured beautifully, showing both the harshness of the journey and the beauty of the landscape.
The Goat is more than just a film-it's a message of awareness, empathy, and hope for change.

Beautiful film filmed in our beautiful Egyptian dunes and including great Egyptian stars.
We need more Egyptian films with international casting. Egyptian films should travel abroad and make people discover our beautiful country.
Standing ovation at the El Gouna Film Festival, it was cold to watch it open air in December but everybody was so happy and touched included a lot of international journalists asking great questions to director and cast.
The little protagonist deserves an Oscar. The cinematography is so beautiful and the story very compelling!
Must watch this movie, Highly Recommend.

The little protagonist, Hadya, made me cry. She is looking for the father in the desert for several days and almost dying. She does all this to save her village and the water for her community. What a brave girl! Remembering how strong girls can be! Film denouncing plastic pollution and injustices for girls.
Little girls should go to school and not been forced to marry! If the American company wouldn't offer the money the community would not be sacrificed! Rich countries always take advance of poor countries and we are all connected. It's not true that these cruel acts against girls are local traditions and we cannot make anything about it. We are all responsible for what happen in the world. Nobody is clean hands. Every body buying a cell phone made with minerals from a poor country is responsible for these kids working in the mines and not going to school. Let's stop this cycle!

The Goat could have made the young girl a one-dimensional victim but instead she is a three dimensional human - she is strong and able to be joyful and hopeful despite the bad things that happen to her.
I felt that the Arabic actors were all brilliant, the American ones were weaker.
It's not a feel good, watch with a bucket of popcorn movie, but is an eye opening story that we all need to hear. The small and powerless people in this world - often girls - need advocates and people to shout on their behalf. This movie does that. I hope it is seen by many and plays a part in changing things for the better!
