- Mark a young preteen goes to live with reclusive aunt Fiona on an island that contains a sanctuary for wild horses. On such a remote place & in such company it would be easy for Mark to get lonely were it not for the enigmatic Harry Rashid (a local trader) and the horses themselves. Although not allowed to get close to them, Mark watches their daily activities, gets to understand their personalities and lives in a semi fantasy world where he is allowed to touch them. One of the Colts takes a serious injury and Mark Fiona Harry and the few locals available have to make a decision do they risk the herd in order to touch this one horse. Even if they do will they save the colt. Can this one young boy find enough human spirit to galvanise an entire village of isolated individuals into great acts of selflessness.
