RoboCop: Rogue City– Unfinished Business” is a standalone expansion of the first-person shooter based on the “RoboCop” movies, available July 17, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC:

Science fiction icon Peter Weller has offered an exciting response when asked about the upcoming RoboCop reboot, which is coming (whether we like it or not) courtesy of Amazon Prime Video. Weller first starred as the iconic character who, of course, is part man, part machine, all cop, way, way back in 1987, and has now stated that he would return for the reboot if the script (and the money) is right.

Season 2 of the HBO series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us is now just one month away! But Doris makes a huge mistake when she gives a young girl morphine that was intended for another patient.

Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) works to save the girl as Doris retreats to a supply closet, where Maggie later finds her crying.

Maggie feels responsible because Doris previously told her she was juggling too many tasks. She seeks to save Doris’ job and says that if Doris goes, so does she.

Lenox backs off wanting Doris fired when Maggie sticks out her neck and agrees to help find resources for the overworked nurses.

Quick Links More Than a Sidekick Subverting All the Familiar Tropes Murphy and Lewis vs the Military Industrial Complex RoboCop's identity crisis and superhuman powers are balanced out by his mortal partner on the police force, Anne Lewis, who protests against Ocp in more traditional ways. The film averts traditional tropes by creating a partnership between RoboCop and Officer Lewis that is deeply empathetic, and even playful, and yet completely non-sexual. Murphy and Lewis contrast the primary antagonists of the series, the Ocp corporation, the two police officers immune to corruption or intimidation in a city where drug-addicted psychos are on the Ocp's health plan.

I don’t think it’s a controversial opinion to state that, of all the RoboCop movies, only Paul Verhoeven’s original 1987 film deserves to be called a classic. However, a lot of us have always thought that the ultra-violent sequel, RoboCop 2, was better than its reputation suggests. I know from our Original Video on the movie that it has more than a few fans, so it’s exciting to reveal that RoboCop 2 is finally getting a 4K Blu-ray release via Scream Factory.

The news was broken by our friends at Blu-ray.com. The company has also licensed José Padilha’s 2014 remake for release. No RoboCop 3 yet. I suppose the company just decided to let that one go, and you can’t really blame them, as it just might be one of the worst sequels of all time.

No news yet on whether RoboCop 2 will contain any special features.

It is 36 years since RoboCop blasted its way onto UK cinema screens and made a splash of epic, gruesome, proportions. With that a cult-like following is born and the film’s influence cannot be overstated.

With a love of cinema woven into its DNA, The Monster Squad helped indoctrinate ’80s kids to the classic monsters. The generation that grew up watching it on home video and HBO look back on the 1987 film with the same reverence director Fred Dekker had for the Universal monster movies, and now they’re passing it down in a similar fashion. There’s no better way to introduce the next generation than with the new 4K edition.

Conceived as “The Little Rascals meets the Universal Monsters,” the cleverly-plotted film clocks in at a tight 82 minutes. From Dead Mouse Productions Ltd and Cult Screenings UK Ltd, RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop is a fully independent retrospective into the making of RoboCop and its cultural impact over the last 30 years. Supported by dozens of the original cast and crew, RoboDoc is made by fans of the movie for fans of the movie. The filmmakers conducted interviews with sixty-six cast and crew members when assembling the documentary.

The fan-funded, four-part docuseries RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop was acquired by Cinedigm last year, and the company gave it both a Blu-ray release (you can pick up a copy Here) and a streaming release, through the Screambox streaming service. Directed by Chris Griffiths and Eastwood Allen, RoboDoc focuses primarily on the first RoboCop, but does give a nod to RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3. The first follow-up will be called RoboDoc Season 2: RoboCop 2, and it’s already expected to be released sometime in late 2024. Then sometime not too far down the line we’ll get RoboDoc Season 3: RoboCop 3 and the TV Series.

RoboCop: Rogue City fills in the gaps left by the third film, addressing the absence of the iconic villain. This character's disappearance in RoboCop 3 is a glaring exclusion that is never explained in the movie's story. RoboCop: Rogue City provides a fitting end for the character, with a narrative that ties into the first and second films.

Though it's not often that movie tie-ins make for solid video games, that's exactly the case with the recent release of RoboCop: Rogue City. A first-person shooter developed by Teyon, Peter Weller of RoboCop 1 and 2 fame reprises his role to take down the criminals and unscrupulous characters of Old Detroit once again. Set after the second RoboCop film, Rogue City picks up where the movies left off and follows the story of James Murphy and his partner, Anne Lewis.

Furthermore, the decisions RoboCop makes, have serious repercussions throughout the game, one of the most important decisions comes right at the end - what to do with the final boss.

The first-person-shooter video game RoboCop: Rogue City, which features the return of Peter Weller as the iconic hero RoboCop, is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store this Thursday, November 2nd. To remind us the game is right around the corner, a new trailer has arrived online – but this one only features a brief glimpse of the game. Ocp, er, Teyon and publisher Nacon have announced pre-orders for RoboCop: Rogue City, which is currently set for release next month. In addition to the regular edition of Rogue City, there will also be a Deluxe Edition referred to as the Alex Murphy Edition, which will include 48-hour Early Access for the game ahead of its launch.

On top of the Early Access, the Deluxe Edition will include a battle-damaged alternative skin for RoboCop reminiscent of the armor at the end of the first film, the Auto-9 prototype handgun skin and the Ocp shotgun secondary weapon, as well as a digital artbook.

Pete Kozachik, the visual effects supervisor for The Nightmare Before Christmas, has passed away at 72 after battling Aphasia. Kozachik used black-and-white lighting techniques and traditional methods to bring the animated puppets to life in the film. His hard work and contributions to Nightmare led to future collaborations with Henry Selick and Tim Burton on other notable projects.

Pete Kozachik, one of the artists behind the stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas, has passed away at 72. According to Deadline, Kozachik passed away in his California home after a long battle with Aphasia and Primary Progressive Aphasia.

Kozachik's career began with the 1984 science-fiction film, Dreamscape. The movie follows a psychic, played by Dennis Quaid, that has the ability to jump in and out of dreams. Kvoa News Tucson first reported the news, commemorating Kozachik and sending condolences to his family, including brother Steve, the Arizona city’s councilman and vice mayor. Pete died Sept. 12 after suffering complications due to aphasia and primary progressive aphasia.

While it's tough to top the classic action films, Robocop: Rogue City's developer Teyon has recreated and enhanced the brand with a stunning and tanky shooter in Unreal Engine 5. After playing through the first few hours of the game as well as Rogue City's Bank Heist mission, it's safe to say that the new-gen game doesn't hold anything back and is a surprisingly accurate rendition of Officer Murphy's brutal Detroit, capturing the dark humor and brutality RoboCop was originally known for.

Although the new game is set to release thirty years after RoboCop 3's release, Rogue City takes place between the second and third film in the classic trilogy. We’ll have to wait a little longer before we can start serving the public trust in RoboCop: Rogue City. Developer Teyon took to X/Twitter to announce that the game will be pushed back from its original September release for PC and consoles to a more definitive November 2.

This delay comes after Teyon had shown off a new gameplay trailer, along with several minutes of gameplay footage, at Gamescom last week. Furthermore, no mention of the delay was made last week. The developer also didn’t explain the reasoning for the delay, though given how stacked September and October are with highly-anticipated titles, it’s probably not a stretch to have that as a reason for Rogue City‘s delay.

The fan-funded, four-part docuseries RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop was acquired by Cinedigm last year, and the company is currently releasing the series through their Screambox streaming service, with episodes being released on a weekly basis starting today – but if you want to own the documentary on physical media, you’ll be glad to hear that RoboDoc is also set to receive a Blu-ray release in October! On October 17th, to be exact.

The eagerly-anticipated RoboCop documentary RoboDoc hits streaming service Screambox & VOD, on August 29th.

It is over 30 years since the Paul Verhoeven classic blasted its way onto the big screen leaving a trail of body parts and blood. Directed by Eastwood Allen and Christopher Griffiths, RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop will showcase the chaotic production of the first movie and more. This is part one of what will be a 4-part limited series spanning over four hours.

Though the streaming release is U.S only, Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment have acquired UK distribution rights with a release expected by the end of the year.

In what promises to be the most in-depth insight into the making of the films as well as TV series it features over 60 interviews with cast and crew including Paul Verhoeven, Nancy Allen, Kurtwood Smith, Ronny Cox as well as Phil Tippett.
