Romance is pretty sparse in My Hero Academia, with the only confirmed couple so far being Gentle and La Brava.
Fans were eager to see mangaka Kohei Horikoshi add more romantic elements to the story, as well as introduce two brand-new and dynamic characters to the franchise, complete with complex backstories and creative Quirks. Giulio Gandini and Anna Scervino became fan-favorites from their first appearances on screen, as the pair both fought to halt the film's villain, Dark Might's, corrupt plans of world domination. Knowing more about their origin stories, their respective Quirks, how they first met, and the gradual love that blossomed between them makes the film's ending even more satisfying, since they wound up happily together.
