The luxury health food chain, famous for its celebrity-endorsed blender concoctions, has featured a drink on its menu for about a year that contains raw beef organs mixed with kefir, colostrum (first milk following calf birth), maple syrup and berries.

Yes, you read that correctly: The smoothie contains uncooked liver, heart, pancreas, kidney and spleen that once belonged to a cow. The organs come in supplement form from the brand Heart & Soil. (The fact that they are freeze-dried might not make the smoothie go down any easier, however.)

The concoction, dubbed Dr. Paul’s Raw Animal-Based Smoothie, sells for $19 and was created by Dr. Paul Paladino, a fitness influencer and author whose book The Carnivore Code preaches an organ-heavy diet.
