Overlord , the ongoing anime adaptation based on the series of dark fantasy isekai light novels, continues on September 20, 2024, with the Japanese theatrical release of the Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom anime film, and now a new trailer, new key art (below) and more have been unveiled for the upcoming movie. Crunchyroll will also screen the film in North American and select international regions. OxT performs the official theme song for the film, which is entitled “Wheeler-Dealer”. The original Overlord light novels are written by Kugane Maruyama, illustrated by so-bin, and published in Japan by Entertain. Yen Press also publishes an English language version. Naoyuki Ito directs the movie version at animation studio Madhouse. Satoshi Tasaki provides the character designs and chief animation direction, and Kuji Katayama (of Team-max) provides the music.
