Donald Glover, the powerful actor behind Donald4Spiderman and the voice of The Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales is finally getting his shot at the big screen, but not exactly the way we wanted.

When the announcement came that Spidey was finally joining his friends in the McU, the world called for a new look on the Spider. We wanted Miles Morales. We wanted Donald Glover. So much that the #Donald4SpiderMan movement was a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately it was not be. Last June it was announced that Tom Holland would be taking up the web head mantle, shattering our dreams of a Miles Morales Spidey with Glover in the costume.

But Glover fans rejoice. While he will not be playing the titular character, the actor/Rapper/Writer looks to be making it to the Spidey-Verse and the McU. Yesterday THR reported that Glover was in talks to join the reboot in an unnamed role. I personally think it is safe to assume he will not be playing Miles Morales, at least not the traditional character as we know him. But it is awesome to know he is finally getting to be in the live action world of Spider-Man

There are many options of who he could be. Some are saying The Prowler, some thing Robbie or Randy Robertson. I would go with Robbie if I was a betting man, which I am. But what if maybe he is Harry Osbourne? Or Eddie Brock? Think about it, what kind of awesome fan service would it be to see Glover done the symbiote. It may not be the Spidey suit we wanted, but that would be cool.

Spider-Man Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7th 2017. It will star Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Micheal Keaton in the villain role. The film also stars Tony Revolori, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, and Kenneth Choi. The film looks to ramp up production later this month.
