TNT Producing Dramedy ‘Foreign Bodies’ With UK’s E4
TNT is partnering with the U.K.’s Channel 4 for comedic drama “Foreign Bodies,” the networks announced Wednesday. The eight-episode series centers around a group of young adults who venture across China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Hailing from Entertainment One and Jamie Campbell and Joel Wilson’s production shingle Eleven, “Foreign Bodies” will launch on U.K. network E4 in early 2017, and will make its U.S. debut later in the year on TNT.
Actor and comedic writer Tom Basden created the series and will write alongside James Wood, Amy Roberts, Loren McLaughlin, Charlie Covell, Tim Key and Jonny Sweet, with director Jonathan van Tulleken helming the first batch of episodes. eOne will handle worldwide rights to the series outside of the U.K., with Evp of global production Carrie Stein overseeing the series. The show was commissioned for Channel 4 by Piers Wenger and Roberto Troni.
