The End of the World has come five days early for Chelsea as they lost the Club World Cup Final 1-0.
Corinthians became only the first Brazilian side to win the competition in six years as they ended Rafa Benitez’ hopes of a first trophy at his new club.
The first goal took a long time in coming as Pablo Guerrero headed in the only goal of the game past three Chelsea defenders after 69 minutes.
Fernando Torres then wasted a gilt-edged opportunity to equalise and take the game into stoppage time before defender Gary Cahill was given a straight red card for an off the ball incident.
