Director Marc Webb tweeted the announcement that Dane DeHaan (Chronicle, Lawless) has been cast as Harry Osborn in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Kevin had been tracking the list of actors competing for the role, which included Sam Claflin, Douglas Booth, Eddie Redmayne, Brady Corbet and Alden Ehrenreich. Last we heard they were looking for someone with "athleticism and good looks", which was when Claflin , Eddie Redmayne, Booth and Boyd Holbrook entered the picture, but DeHaan, whose star has certainly been rising, has officially nabbed the role. So far not a whole lot is known about the sequel outside of the fact Andrew Garfield will return as Peter Parker, Emma Stone will play Gwen Stacy, Shailene Woodley will play Mary Jane Watson and Jamie Foxx has been tapped as the film's villain, Electro. The film is currently set for a May 2, 2014 release.
