Miss Bala‘s plot synopsis: “The story of a young woman clinging on to her dream to become a beauty contest queen in a Mexico dominated by organized crime…Miss Bala explores the many extremes of modern Mexican society when the world of beauty pageants and the current drug war collide.”

This looks really good, a mixture of Maria Full of Grace and City of God. It look like Laura Guerrero’s dreams become intermingled with a nightmare.
