- [on learning Japanese for debut role in Mademoiselle (2016)] It wasn't very difficult for me to deal with the Japanese dialogue that my character had to say. The thing about my character is that her Japanese doesn't have to be so refined as the other characters in the film. Comparatively, I think I got the easy part when it comes to the Japanese dialogue.
- [on pressure after massive success from debut role in Mademoiselle (2016)] Honestly, I felt zero pressure for box office success after 'The Handmaiden' because I was aware of my weaknesses and knew that I would need to get help from others. So I was more concerned about developing my characters.
