One of the most common tropes in Power Rangers is the worthiness of each Ranger. Most of them end up in the role by accident, but the lore signals that they were destined to become Rangers and that they are worthy of wielding the Morpher. Lionsgate had big plans for Power Rangers when it rebooted the beloved television series as a blockbuster movie. Ludi Lin, who starred in the 2017 movie as Zack Taylor/Black Ranger, recently opened up about what Lionsgate had planned for Power Rangers 2 before it was scrapped.

Speaking with Screen Rant to promote his new movie The Art of Eight Limbs, Lin confirmed that a sequel to Power Rangers would have introduced Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, although the character might have been reimagined as female instead of male. "Man, I really feel like - I know that I was really pitching Tommy. I feel like that movie was kind of, I know people say this a lot, I don't know if I'm just saying it as a cop-out right now, but it was ahead of its time," he said. "It was before the superhero craze, it was before the darker films that came along.

When Carlos Vallerte first appeared in Power Rangers Turbo, he was part of Adam Park's soccer team, and he was one of his most problematic players.

Zack Taylor, the original Black Ranger, left the Power Rangers in Mighty Morphin season 2 along with two other original cast members. Zack made a comeback 30 years later in Power Rangers: Once & Always. The complete Mighty Morphin Power Rangers story begins in 1993 and goes way beyond the original Power Rangers show, with its final chapter seemingly happening in 2023. While watching Power Rangers in chronological order means getting to know dozens of different teams, the franchise will always be associated with the Mighty Morphine era. Naturally, most of the key Mighty Morphin-related events happened in the original show, but the stories of characters like Jason and Tommy would continue for years to come.

Instead of go-go Power Rangers for the 30th anniversary special on Netflix, at least one prominent cast member is singing no-go.
