Written by actor Jimmi Simpson, the horror dramedy follows seven high school seniors whose weekend of backstabbing turns literal.

The Return of the Living Dead is back from the grave (again) on SteelBook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on June 10 from Scream Factory.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the 1985 zombie classic marked the directorial debut of screenwriter Dan O’Bannon.

The three-disc set includes the 4K resorption from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision and special features — including a workprint of the film and the 2011 documentary More Brains: A Return to the Living Dead — from Scream Factory’s previous edition.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Jimmi Simpson may not share Liam McPolye’s penchant for sleeping with his siblings, but the 48-year-old actor has still managed to ruffle feathers with his personal life, as his 27-year-old girlfriend, filmmaker Kyra Gardner, has had to come to his defense amid accusations of him having groomed her.

Gardner, the daughter of Hollywood special effects legend Tony Gardner, found her May-December romance in the hot seat last week after a TikTok video commemorating their 2022 meeting sparked backlash on social media. “She doesn’t know it yet, but she’ll meet the love of her life that night, and is actually looking at a photo of him on the paper she’s holding,” Gardner captioned a clip of her attending the Studio 666 premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Heart Eyes is a winning romance and a killer slice of slasher movie fun. Not an easy balance to pull off. The team behind the hit—which made even more money in its second weekend at the box office—succeeded with sincerity. Not for a second do genres clash in the hands of director Josh Ruben and cinematographer Stephen Murphy.

Murphy is a seasoned pro behind the camera, having shot excellent episodes of Atlanta and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Romantic comedies aren't usually in his wheelhouse, so Heart Eyes gave him the opportunity to stretch his talents and explore a new aesthetic.

Recently, Murphy spoke with Daily Dead about shooting a rom-com, crafting some lovely kills, and recalled his first gig on set—working with horror legend Stuart Gordon.

I assume you wanted to make every shot of Heart Eyes as dynamic as possible.

We don't talk enough about how 1958's "The Blob" and 1988's remake makes for one of the best original/remake combinations. They're both time capsules of societal paranoias from their respective eras. One is about a Pleasantville town banding together to defeat an outsider invader — the next is a government conspiracy flick about corruption within official departments. The '50s film plays around with a cranberry jelly-lookin' monster and cutting-edge photography tricks of the time that could manage such freaky sci-fi effects, while the '80s update enlists future SFX gurus like Tony Gardner to pull off awe-striking gelatinous carnage. Screambox has revealed the new films that are joining the horror streaming service in April, including the 1982 classic Creepshow, Child’s Play doc Living with Chucky, the brand new Japanese remake of Cube, Stephen King masterpiece Needful Things, Aussie-set wild boar horror Razorback, found footage favorite Hell House LLC, and Night of the Living Dead-inspired Screambox Original Shifted.

From the masters of the macabre, George A. Romero and Stephen King’s preeminent horror anthology Creepshow is now streaming on Screambox! After enjoying five jolting tales of terror, viewers can go behind the scenes with the Screambox Exclusive documentary Just Desserts: The Making of Creepshow.

Also joining Screambox today are Needful Things, the 1991 Stephen King adaptation starring Ed Harris (The Abyss) and Max von Sydow (The Exorcist); The Borrower, a sci-fi horror hybrid from Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer director John McNaughton; and Razorback, an ’80s killer boar movie directed by Russell Mulcahy.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) – Available on 4K Uhd on April 10th

The latest release of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray comes from UK company Second Sight Films on April 10th. The limited edition version of this release features all-new premium packaging with art cards and a 190-page hardcover book. Second Sight has also promised a “new presentation with additional restoration work” above and beyond the previously released 4K discs, so we will have to see what that includes.

Screen Rant is thrilled to present a new clip from the upcoming film Living With Chucky, a documentary that explores the beloved Child's Play franchise. The film comes from the mind of Kyra Elise Gardner, the daughter of special effects artist and Chucky puppeteer Tony Gardner. Inspired by growing up alongside the iconic horror series, Living With Chucky features interviews with key players like Jennifer Tilly, Brad Dourif, and many more.

In 2017, Kyra Gardner released a Child's Play retrospective called The Dollhouse which explored similar themes. However, the short film was only seven minutes long, while the upcoming release will be a feature-length picture. Living With Chucky will have much more time to delve into personal interviews, the cultural impact of the franchise, and the way Chucky's character impacted not just Gardner's life, but everyone involved with the films.

The child stars of My Parents are Aliens have reunited for a photo with lead star Tony Gardner.

Gardner was overjoyed to see the cast members he worked alongside from 1999 to 2006 attend the play he’s currently starring in.

They all posed together following Gardner’s performance in the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist.

Appearing in the photo were Alex Kew, who played Josh Barker, Charlotte Francis, who played Lucy Barker and Olisa Odele, who starred as Cj.

Stephanie Fearon, who joined the show as Harriet after original star Danielle McCormack left, was also present, as was Jordan Maxwell, who played Frankie Perkins.

Gardner, who was beaming in the photo surrounded by his former cast members, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday (23 March): “My Parents are Aliens reunion at the play tonight. Such a wonderful group of friends.”

My Parents are Aliens ran from 1999 to 2006, airing 106 episodes in total.
