Waking to find his banana hoard clean gone, Donkey Kong sets out with his nephew Diddy Kong through jungle and cavern, past temples and reef, across pine forests, factories, and mountains to rid the island of the wicked Kremlings and reclaim his bananas.

Kaptain K. Rool kidnaps Donkey Kong and imprisons him high atop Crocodile Isle. Diddy Kong and his friend Dixie Kong must brave pirate ships, volcanoes, swamps, demented theme parks and deep, dark forests to rescue the gormless gorilla.

Trouble is brewing yet again on Donkey Kong Island and it's up to Dixie to save the captured Donkey and Diddy Kong and stop the evil Kremlings.

Mario is unable to follow them, but sends the Mini-Mario toys to rescue the damsel-in-distress.

King K. Rool stole the special medallion meant for the winner of a big race, So Donkey Kong and his friends must swing their way through the jungle to get the medallion back.

Donkey Kong II which is like Donkey Kong Jr, was developed by Nintendo R&D1 and released as part of the Game and Watch Vertical Multi Screen series, featuring two LCD screens. It was released in 1983. Donkey Kong Jr. has to touch a key, then it moves up to the top screen. Donkey Kong Jr. has to climb to the top screen while avoiding things such as electrical wires, crocodiles and birds. When he gets to the top screen, Donkey Kong Jr. will have to touch the key again, and it will move to next to a keyhole below one of the chains. Donkey Kong Jr has to climb up the rope below the keyhole, while avoiding birds. When he gets to the top of the rope, one of the chains will unlock. He has to do this 4 times until he saves Donkey Kong. After that, the game will start over, at a somewhat faster pace.
