Nora Batty finally decides to give Compo a taste of what he's been asking for and it sends him to the hospital. Clegg, Nora, and friends need to deal with the loss of their friend.

Foggy and Norman think that Compo has lost his mind because he sees a floating fat lady. Glenda tries to convince her mother, Edie, to get new glasses.

After stumbling across a health farm on a day out, the trio decide there's money to be made in selling junk food to the residents.

Barry becomes obsessed with his depression. Wesley invents a go anywhere hot drink dispenser which causes havoc at the church jumble sale and on the golf course.

Thinking they have too much free time on their hands, the trio decides to find an occupation. They come across a dodgy, bankrupted dealer who persuades them to sell his new product, with disastrous results, particularly for Blamire.

The trio decide to take a holiday near the seaside with Sid and Ivy in tow. The three share a room and find some unexpected friends in the hostel where they stay as well.

Norman Clegg is looking for a new source of fresh vegetables.

Foggy takes Cleggy and Compo to see a refurbished steam train, but can they catch it in time?

Compo, Foggy and Norman are bored and cheerless. Wally Batty is making hammering noises in the basement. Norman and Compo are distressed that Foggy poo-poos Yorkshire superstitions.

With Christmas approaching, the trio decide to invite long-lost friends from the town for a drink at the pub on Christmas Eve.

The trio agree to help Wesley bring his prize discovery, a Loxley Lozenge, back to his workshop. However, towing it home isn't easy and isn't helped by Clegg's phobia of driving.

Wesley & Edie's daughter Glenda is getting married, and Clegg and Compo make a new friend in Edie's brother Seymour. Foggy has left to take over an egg decorating business he inherited.

Compo accidentally discards his long treasured "gift" from Nora Batty. Seymour demonstrates his new home security device.

Wally's war-buddy and fellow pigeon racer Eli makes an appearance, and clears the pub; Compo pretends to be Wally so Nora won't be upset that he stopped to chat with Eli; Seymour sets Edie up with his own version of a garbage-disposal.

The village pedestrians and motorists are in peril as Seymour's sister Edie tries to learn to drive after having failed several driver tests.

Compo, Clegg and Seymour happen upon a somewhat wiley tramp, who persuades them to help him rescue his childhood donkey (from better days), from a field. In fact the tramp wants to fix the 'donkey derby' at the local garden fete.

Wesley tries to fix Edie's convertible. Compo is searching for relief from a skin condition.

Compo is given a very nice, but ill-fitting suit to attend the funeral of the suit's former occupant. On the way to the visitation, Compo searches for, and finds, his stray ferret.

Seymour, Compo and Norman dressed as Father Christmas go door to door collecting for church charity, but no one is interested. A fourth Father Christmas is acting suspiciously and runs away when ever seen by the trio. Edie is scandalized that Glenda wants a water bed. Auntie Wainwright is terrified that her shop is going to be burgled Christmas eve.

Jack Harry Teesdale and his wife love to go caravanning each weekend - but she hates coming back, when his reverse parking causes constant arguments between them. Determined to help, Seymour enlists Compo and Clegg to put things right.

Seymour, Compo and Norman accidentally dislodge a large round hay bale and attempt to move it back into place with the help of Barry and Wesley.

Nora Batty wants Compo, Norman and Seymour to take her mother's old mangle (wringer) to Sammy Peters. Howard attempts to become a master of disguise.

Seymour leaves for a new teaching job and Foggy Dewhurst makes his return, he can't find Compo or Clegg but the little village soon learns he's back- and the ladies coffee group decide trouble comes in threes.

A carnival has come to town but the main attraction, Captain Zero, has broken down along the side of the road - good thing Foogy and friends are there to... help?
