The thin plot of “The Bodyguard”, also known as “Super Bodyguard” or “Iron Protector”, concerns a disciple of the Iron Feet clan, Wu Lin, played by Yue Song. After the death of his master, Wu wanders into the modern city of Lengcheng (Cold City) looking for his martial arts brother Li Jiang (Shi Yan Neng). White doing a split in the city square, like Stephen Chow did in “Shaolin Soccer” (2001), a bunch of gangsters was chasing after a rich businessman run pass and interrupted his busking. September will see returning icons come back with even more action-packed movies, international adventures with grandiose scopes, and even some unconventional gems you might've skimmed over in the past. Regardless of what you pick to watch, you can expect equal amounts of punches, kicks, hacks, and slashes in these stellar martial arts movies.

This is just about every notable martial arts film hitting Tubi in the month of September. Every film will be available to watch from as early as September 1 unless stated otherwise.

Unleashed (2005)

Unleashed is what happens when you smash together Yuen Woo-ping's choreography, a lead performance by Jet Li (Once Upon a Time in China), and a soundtrack by the English trip-hop group Massive Attack. Released in 2005, Unleashed sees Jet Li playing a man reduced to nothing more than an attack dog.

The first programming has been revealed for the 20th annual Fantasia International Film Festival. Taking place from July 14th–August 2nd in Montreal, this year’s Fantasia will honor Guillermo del Toro with the Cheval Noir Award, and the newly revealed first wave of programming includes screenings of Lights Out, Abattoir, In a Valley of Violence, Under the Shadow, Trash Fire, Teenage Cocktail, and more:

Press Release: Montreal, May 26, 2016 – The Fantasia International Film Festival will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in Montreal this summer, taking place from July 14-August 2, with its Frontiéres international co-production market and Industry Rendez-Vous weekend being held July 21-24. The full lineup of over 130 feature films will be announced July 5th. In the meantime, the festival is excited to announce a selected first wave of titles, along with several special happenings.

For Fantasia’s 2016 poster, the festival has once again turned to award-winning Quebec visual artist Donald Caron.

Guillermo del Toro and Takashi Miike are set to attend the 20th anniversary edition of Fantasia International Film Festival (July 14-Aug 2) in Montreal.

In his first-ever appearance at the festival, del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) will be presented with the Cheval Noir award.

He will also deliver a masterclass and host the Canadian premiere of documentary Creature Designers: The Frankenstein Complex, in which he is featured.

Meanwhile, prolific director Miike will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for the mark he has left on the festival over its 20 years. Nearly 30 of his films have been showcased at Fantasia and he has opened the festival three times.

Miike will also host the North American premiere of his latest film Terraformars, about a team of misfits who must fight humanoid cockroaches to colonise Mars, and As The...

The Bodyguard (Not to be mistake with the recent Sammo Hung movie), features Yue Song, Collin Chou and Yi IanNan. Shi Yanneng (Wrath Of Vajra, Shaolin) plays one of the leading villains, along side super kicker Collin Chou (Flash Point).

Plot

Super BodyGuard is a genre-blending modern action film combining the best of both Kung-Fu and Super-Hero genres. The film chronicles the dramatic journey of Wu-Lin after the death of his martial arts master. After leaving his home town to look for his fellow apprentice Jiang Li he finds himself as the bodyguard of Fei-fie, the daughter of Jian-Shan Li – the head of the richest family in the city. In dangerous circumstances he discovers many unspoken and life-threatening secrets. In order to protect the ones he loves, he chooses the dark, lonely path of seeking revenge and decides to take the law into his own hands.
