Scooby Doo makes everything great. Bring back a darker version of Scooby Doo. We need movies like Zombie Island.
I just can't think of any other tv series that would even think about making such a curveball episode, let alone make it.
Such a great fusion of classic scooby doo and contemporary cartoon humour and Supernatural wit.
Just a joy to watch from start to finish. Supernatural is at it's best when it goes all meta. Can't wait for next season's special episode.

Quite possibly the greatest episode of television in the history of the world.

I've been watching Supernatural since it started my junior year of high school. The show has had plenty of great episodes and a few boring or dull ones. I didn't think an episode could top the Hollywood one where Dean learns he played on Days of Our Lives. This episode just about tops that. I laughed so hard I cried. It was unreal watching two different shows from two different time periods come alive together. This episode was outstanding and left me smiling. A nice happy goofy episode in another dark storyline. Love love love it. Bravo and job well done! Hands down, it's freaking awesome!
This is joining my all time favorite episodes. I was worried it might disappoint- long time Scooby fan- but it didn't.
Histoire
Le saviez-vous
- AnecdotesAlthough the voice actors for Shaggy, Daphne, and Velma have provided the voices of those characters in recent Scooby-Doo cartoons, Frank Welker has been voicing Fred since Scoubidou (1969) and took over as Scooby in 2002. Welker is the only actor from A Night of Fright Is No Delight (1970) to participate in this episode.
- GaffesIncorrectly regarded as goof: While it is learned in Devil's Bargain (2018) that Gabriel is still alive, it is not yet known to Sam and Dean. It's true that it is also not yet known how Gabriel is still alive, it is possible that he was only stabbed with a normal angel blade but that is something Lucifer should have noticed. Gabriel did reveal in Hammer of the Gods (2010) that each Archangel has their own "Archangel blade", he told Sam and Dean that he gave Kali a normal angel blade, then he pulls out his Archangel blade and said "I didn't want her getting her hands on this, this thing can kill me". So it seems that each Archangel has their own blade capable of killing other Archangels, though it's still unknown why the blade Asmodeus has looks different than the blade Gabriel had.

Shaggy Rogers: Like, man, I guess that leaves me and old Scoob with you, Castiel.
Castiel: Wonderful. I once led armies, and now I'm paired with a scruffy Philistine and a talking dog.
- Crédits fousThe spooky mansion from Scoubidou (1969) appears in the beginning, then the series normal opening title appears.
