“Yellowjackets” has been renewed for Season 4, Paramount announced on Tuesday, touting the record-setting viewership of the Season 3 finale in April, which rose 19% from the Season 2 finale.
“‘Yellowjackets’ has become a cultural juggernaut, with Season 3 shattering all previous records – we are thrilled to announce its renewal for a Season 4 on Paramount+,”Chris McCarthy, co-ceo of Paramount Global and president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, said.
He thanked co-creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson for how they “masterfully crafted an utterly singular, genre-defying phenomenon,” calling the series, “a perfect alchemy of psychological horror, survival thriller and coming-of-age drama that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.”
The Emmy-nominated drama is about an all-female girls soccer team’s descent into madness and cannibalism after their plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness, and how the adult survivors are still traumatized by their ordeal.

As the cast of The Studio can attest, working with acclaimed actor Bryan Cranston exceeded their expectations, but what maybe surprised them the most was (oddly enough) the Breaking Bad star’s fit physique.
In an interview that includes Seth Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Chase Sui Wonders and Ike Barinholtz, the ensemble couldn’t praise Cranston’s physical comedy prowess enough, but Barinholtz took their shared accolades one step beyond.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago P.D. Season 12 finale “Vows.”] Considering the episode title, it is surprising that in the Chicago P.D. finale, we don’t see Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) exchange theirs. Don’t worry, though, because they are married when Season 13 begins. What’s less certain? The status of Intelligence. After all, Reid (Shawn Hatosy) did open up investigations into their actions, and yes, he was dirty. That is now clear, thanks to Voight’s (Jason Beghe) actions, including moving the pieces into place for the son of the drug dealer Reid had killed to fatally shoot the deputy chief, but any fallout remains up in the air. Below, executive producer Gwen Sigan breaks down the finale, explains why we didn’t see more of the Burzek wedding, and teases what’s to come. Will we see the parts of Burgess and Ruzek’s wedding we didn’t? Gwen ...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Survivor Season 48 finale.] Two alliances have been controlling Survivor 48 all season long: Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson, the public alliance, and Kyle Fraser and Kamilla Karthigesu, the secret alliance. While Joe and Eva maintained control over the game with their majority alliance in the first half, Kyle and Kamilla made more influential moves in secret in the final episodes, especially the penultimate that saw them trick Joe and Eva into voting out one of their biggest allies, Shauhin Davari. Their successes continued in the Survivor 48 finale on May 21, on CBS, as Kamilla won the final joint immunity and reward challenge, securing her spot in the final four, and Kyle won the final immunity challenge, securing his and one other spot in the final three. One infuriating fire-making challenge later, Kyle, Eva, and Joe made their pitches to the jury before a winner was named the Sole Survivor. Mitch Guerra was...

Survivor fans: Let’s have a round of applause for your newest winner!
Season 48 came to a (literal) fiery finish Wednesday when Joe, Eva and Kyle secured their spots in the Final 3 and pleaded their case to a jury of fallen comrades. Each finalist certainly had a valid argument to make on why he or she should become the Sole Survivor. Eva overcame so many odds (especially with her neurodiversity), trusting the right people and banking on that social capital. Joe played a loyal and honest game, walking in the footsteps of previous winners like Ethan Zohn and Tom Westman.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago Med Season 10 finale “…Don’t You Cry.”] Wait, who’s the father of Hannah’s (Jessy Schram) baby?! Sadly, we still don’t know at the end of Chicago Med‘s Season 10 finale, though it’s not as clear as we may have thought. [The following post contains Major spoilers for the Wednesday, May 21, episode of Jeopardy!] Jeopardy! fans think the Wednesday, May 21, episode was “one of the best” of Season 41. Brendon Liaw, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, returned for his second game after an amazing comeback win the day prior with $13,599. He played against Romy Negrin, from New York, and Sam Macken, from Boulder, Colorado. Riffing on Liaw’s job as a “stay-at-home son,” host Ken Jennings joked at the beginning of the episode, “We got him outside to play one more game.” On Tuesday’s game, Liaw explained that he recently graduated college and is looking for a job, but is afraid he will be called a loiterer soon. The game didn’t start off so hot for Macken, a bassoon player in an orchestra, who answered two questions wrong and one right to ...

NBCUniversal is among the parties taking an early swing at a large package of Major League Baseball rights that ESPN has chosen to let go.
The Comcast-backed media conglomerate is in nascent talks with the league about the package for which ESPN is said to be paying $550 million a year. ESPN in February announced it would “opt out” of its seven-year deal, which was supposed to last through 2028, with executives at the Disney sports giant miffed about smaller deals MLB has struck with Apple and Roku that give those outlets exclusive games for smaller annual fees, undermining the economics of ESPN’s terms.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Episode 9, “Execution.”] The Handmaid’s Tale delivered an explosive end for Nick (Max Minghella) and Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) in the penultimate episode of the series. June’s former lover was killed when an altitude-triggered bomb went off on the plane carrying the last surviving commanders from Boston, a bomb planted by Lawrence in what became a suicide mission. June (Elisabeth Moss) and Lawrence didn’t expect Nick to be on that plane, but stopping him from boarding would mean losing their last chance to kill Wharton (Josh Charles) and the other commanders. Nick smiled at Lawrence on the plane as he said, “Guess you decided to join the winners.” His death, and this “join the winners” line in particular, has had The Handmaid’s Tale fans talking since the episode came out on May 20. Here, The Handmaid’s Tale executive producer/former showrunner Bruce Miller explains what...

A Wheel of Fortune contestant might have had the worst luck ever in the Bonus Round when none of the letters that he chose appeared in the puzzle, leaving him with only two to solve for the whole puzzle. He spoke out about his time on the game show after missing out on $89,000 on a prickly puzzle that was just too hard to solve. Chad Benner, a minister and teacher from Wheelersburg, Ohio, played against Darlene Campisano, from Brockton, Massachusetts, and Reuben Cheatem, from Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday, May 20. They continued with Change Your Lattitude Week, which gave the contestant the chance to win a new home. Benner is a minister and DJ and advertises himself as “one-stop shopping for weddings.” Cheatem, a stage 3 colon cancer survivor, won the first toss-up, but landed on Bankrupt during the first puzzle, making it an even playing field. Benner landed on the Home...

When the TV adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” first premiered on Hulu in 2017, just a few months after Donald Trump was sworn in as president for the first time, its dystopian backdrop of a fictional U.S. run by a faction of ultra-conservative, religious elite seemed safely far away. But eight years later, as the acclaimed series comes to a close with its sixth and final season, the horrors of Gilead and its handmaids feel alarmingly close at hand.
Over the seasons, the cast of regulars and guest stars who played Gilead’s commanders, wives, marthas, and handmaids — women forced into sexual slavery and tasked with repopulating the polluted regime — have infused “The Handmaid’s Tale” with life. But the series’ star, executive producer, and sometimes director, Elisabeth Moss, has been its beating heart.

Before composer Antonio Sanchez officially came on board to score “The Studio,” the new Hollywood satire show from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the episodes were already using his “Birdman” score as temp music.
So when Sanchez sat down with Rogen and Goldberg, it only took about 15 minutes of chatting before they were sold on working together. “The one thing that ‘Birdman’ brought is the impression that maybe I’m a little bit of a one-trick pony because it was a four-time Oscar winning movie. So people think of me and they just think drums,” Sanchez tells Variety.

Adam David had quite a run on Season 27 of The Voice. Only one coach turned their chair around for Adam in the Blind Auditions, which meant he automatically landed on Michael Bublé‘s team. Despite the other three coaches not being instantaneously enamored by him, Adam went on to win the show. Bublé believed in the aspiring singer from day one and picked him to move on through the Battle Round, Knockout Round, and Playoffs. During the Semi-Finals, viewers got to vote for the first time, and Adam was not one of the Top 4 artists who received the most votes to automatically move on. Instead, he was in the middle four and had to sing for the Instant Save. This time, Adam did get the majority of viewer votes, earning the final spot in the finale, where he competed against fellow Team Bublé artist Jadyn Cree, as well as Jaelen...

Fearless anthology series Love, Death + Robots returns with a unique blend of styles, stories, and heroes you didn’t know you needed — from scheming felines to a traumatized toilet. “I try and get a mix of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy,” says creator and executive producer Tim Miller. “And we work with some really fucking fantastic artists.” Miller is a voracious reader, and the source material for the series is largely short stories he has enjoyed over decades, though Volume 4 has a first: a concert film … from none other than David Fincher.
Fincher may now be best known for films such as Fight Club and The Killer, but he first rose to prominence directing music videos. The episode “Can’t Stop” calls on a long-cherished idea of animating a band as puppets; in this case, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. “This was a chance to exercise some old muscles,...

The internet was buzzing after Jessica Simpson performed on the American Idol finale. Her first television performance in 15 years received mixed reviews from viewers, and Simpson opened up about how bad her nerves were before she stepped on stage. “Oh my God, I was dying,” she admitted to Extra. “I can’t even tell you how long it’s been since I’ve been that nervous. Like, I had to put hairspray on my feet to stand still. Like, not that it actually keeps me put, but, like, my feet were sweating. I’m like, ‘My feet don’t sweat!'” During the performance, Simpsons said she had to keep telling herself not to cry. “Then I see my dad, like, up in the corner and I’m like, ‘Ah, I’m going to cry. I’m going to cry. Do not cry. Just sing your songs. Just sing your songs.

Adam David can officially call himself the winner of The Voice after the Tuesday, May 20, finale, and he’s already looking to keep the momentum going following his victory. “I want to put out some music and go on tour,” David tells TV Insider. “I want to play. I want to play for audiences and not, you know, empty rooms.” The singing competition was quite a journey for David, who only had one coach turn around during the blind auditions. That coach was Michael Bublé, who clearly recognized the rising star’s talent from the very beginning. Bublé chose David to move on through the Battle and Knockout rounds. During the Playoffs, David was then one of the two artists whom Bublé picked to advance to the Semi-Finals. At that point, it became a fan-voted competition. With 12 singers remaining, the four contestants who received the most votes automatically advanced to the finals.

History is often told by the “victors” — even if their path was wrong.
For example, it’s a conveniently heroic narrative to tell the story of a country founded by free people who rebelled against an oppressive monarchic regime. It’s less convenient to tell it from the perspective of everyone they stepped on to gain freedom (and sometimes borderline impossible thanks to systemic erasure). U.S. history is filled with the lost stories of Indigenous people, but Jason Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett’s “Chief of War” wants to change that.
The upcoming Apple TV+ drama is a passion project for both Sibbett and Momoa, who also serves as star and writer and directed the season finale. He plays Ka’iana, a warrior who tries to unite the people of Hawai’i against European settlers in the late-18th century.
