Almost every Soul Reaper in Bleach possesses a Zanpakuto that is considered to be their main weapon. These Zanpakuto are in the form of swords and have multiple hidden abilities that can be unlocked only when the Soul Reapers reach their full potential. Once this happens, the Zanpakuto transforms into two different forms called the Shikai and the Bankai.

While Shikai is the second form, Bankai is considered the final form and strongest transformation for any Soul Reaper.
