WWE's Monday Night Rawhas come and gone once more as the WWE Universe counts down the days to March's Elimination Chamber Ple on the Road to WrestleMania. This was the show where fans got to experience the final two Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, cementing the final slate for each of the men's and women's Chamber matches for the March Ple. Prior to this week's Monday Night Raw, the two chamber matches had confirmed five out of six of the slots for each match, featuring the likes of John Cena, Cm Punk, Damien Priest, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul on the men's side, with Bayley, Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Naomi competing in the women's match.

After Dwayne Johnson had teased his surprise return to WWE SmackDown via X, on February 20, fans were thrilled to see him return to the ring ahead of WrestleMania 41. Although his return might have forced WWE to make a few changes to the lineup of matches that were set to happen on Friday’s episode, viewers were simply stoked to see The Rock.

5. WrestleMania 40 had nothing on The Rock and Cody Rhodes’ friendship

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released in 2022 and swiftly became one of the Multiverse Saga's biggest successes with an $854 million global box office. The movie introduced Tenoch Huerta's Namor to the MCU as one of its first official mutants before culminating in his defeat by the new Black Panther, Shuri, expanding both the history of the McU's Wakanda and the franchise's horizons.

WWE continued their red-hot 2024 as SummerSlam took place at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Oh. The second-biggest show of the year was not short on incidents as Cody Rhodes retained his WWE Championship in his match against Solo Sikoa, with help from a returning Roman Reigns. Drew McIntyre overcame Cm Punk controversially, Nia Jax dethroned Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship, and two men captured their first main roster gold, with Bron Breakker beating Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship, and LA Knight beating Logan Paul for the United States Championship respectively.

It was a huge night for one of the most popular factions in WWE as The Judgment Day as we know it changed forever.

WrestleMania 40’s night two in Philadelphia was a spectacle of high-octane wrestling that lived up to the grandeur expected of such a storied event. The evening was headlined by a gripping match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, where Rhodes sought redemption and the chance to “finish his story” and of course the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. The “Bloodline Rules” stipulation added an intense layer of drama, with Rhodes overcoming the odds to dethrone Reigns in a stunning upset that had the Lincoln Financial Field erupting in cheers.

It was no surprise that during the match both Reigns and Rhodes has some assistance during their match from the likes of Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, The Rock, John Cena and none other than The Undertaker making brief cameo appearances.

On Night 1 of WrestleMania Xl, the Judgement Day involving Damien Priest and Finn Baylor returned empty-ended as they lost their Undisputed WWE tag team championship in a Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder match. However, Priest was determined to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, and he did it as he made a surprise return on Night 2. After Drew McIntyre won against Seth Rollins, Priest, with the help of Cm Punk, beat down the new champion and cemented his contract. Triple H was especially happy for Priest, and he congratulated him on social media.

Sony has removed “El Muerto,” a Marvel movie about a luchador supervillain starring Bad Bunny, from its theatrical-release calendar. The “Spider-Man” baddie’s standalone film was previously scheduled for January 12, 2024; now, per Sony, it’s “Tbd.”

An individual with knowledge of the project told IndieWire that “El Muerto” is still in development, but with the writers strike ongoing and the musician’s tour dates, rescheduling the release is complicated. “El Muerto” isn’t the first superhero movie to be impacted by the WGA strike, but there are enough challenges here to wonder if “El Muerto” will be re-slotted, or if it’s down for the count.
