Damien Priest

Vince McMahon Gave Current Aew Star a Standing Ovation
Image
Vince McMahon was one of the top leaders in the business of sports entertainment. His global giant, WWE, attracted talents from across the world, and McMahon was known to be very hands-on with the development of his superstars on the roster.

Not only that, the former WWE Chairman and CEO would always appreciate his workers if they pulled off something incredible inside the squared circle. A similar instance happened when a current Aew star pulled off a huge spot against a WWE Hall of Famer in a match that became memorable for the same.

However, did you know that there is another wrestler who almost got his Tinseltown citizenship before it was taken away from him? Yes, we are talking about none other than Damien Priest. Not gonna lie, the man sure has the charm needed to woo the audience on the big screen. So, what went wrong?

A few months ago, Damien Priest revealed that he almost had a role in the bag before it slipped from his fingers like sand. The role in question was in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Panther franchise, and while he didn’t explicitly give a reason behind the loss, he did give us a good idea of what may have happened.

Jey Uso and Randy Orton Are the Nepo Babies of WWE and Drew McIntyre Has No Hesitation Exposing Them
Image
WWE has been on for generations, and some of the best wrestlers today are following the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, making new waves in the industry and a name for themselves, pushing their family name forward. Two such wrestlers are Jey Uso and Randy Orton, who, even though they are among the GOATs of the game, have been deemed as the nepo babies of WWE.

Needless to say, their background comes up time and time again during the various WWE programs, with other wrestlers taking a hit at them for having it easy. The newest addition to the list is Drew McIntyre, who didn’t hold back his disdain for nepotism.

The match was a no-holds-barred and no disqualification contest between these WWE superstars, with the use of every prop legal. However, as the match unfolded, the WWE universe started wondering if WWE missed an opportunity to pay tribute to the Attitude Era, rather than calling it a street fight.

WrestleMania 41: John Cena, Cm Punk and 3 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need a Win
Image
John Cena needs a win desperately. Yes, you heard that right. A decade ago, the thought of Cena needing a WrestleMania win would’ve sounded absurd. But with no singles Ple wins since 2018, and his retirement tour in motion, the 16-time world champion needs a statement victory to end his story on a high. And he’s not alone. From Cm Punk chasing a long-overdue Mania moment to Randy Orton searching for one more spark to light his legend, several top-tier superstars are heading into WrestleMania 41 not as favorites but as underdogs fighting to reclaim their place in history.

Similarly, while Cm Punk has major wins over stars this year, his Mania victory column has been blank for quite a while. His last victory was against Chris Jericho(a man who isn’t in the company) at WrestleMania 28 when he defended the WWE title. His last Mania match was at...

Hate Cm Punk All You Want But He Was Right About Jack Perry After We Saw Drew McIntyre Get Injured With Glass

Cm Punk has been a controversial character all his life. The personality and aura that the former WWE champion carries has divided the WWE universe throughout his career. While he was a rogue, anti-establishment character in the beginning, many fans have noticed the evolution in him as his professional career progressed.

Cm Punk has also been a vocal critic for the safety of wrestlers in and out of the ring. A special reference to this led to his dismissal from All-Elite Wrestling (Aew) in 2024. Following the injury that Drew McIntyre suffered against Damien Priest recently, the reason why Punk called out Jack Perry in Aew has started making sense.

“We knew that backstage”: John Cena Owes His WWE Career to Stephanie McMahon After Vince McMahon Almost Fired Him

In the first decade of the 21st century, John Cena reigned supreme as the primary poster boy of WWE. No matter how many good storylines prevailed, Cena would mainly take the main event, considering his run as the primed baby face and his terrific promotional ability.

One of Cena’s greatest rivals during that particular era, John Bradshaw Layfield, revealed that despite all the pomp and vigor, the leader of Cenation was not exempt from Vince McMahon’s rage.

10 Best WWE Wrestlers Of 2024 (So Far)

Smashing records on a seemingly weekly basis, 2024 has been a landmark year for the WWE and its performers and the year is only two-thirds in. Event Review: Wrestlemania 40 Night Two
Image
WrestleMania 40’s night two in Philadelphia was a spectacle of high-octane wrestling that lived up to the grandeur expected of such a storied event. The evening was headlined by a gripping match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, where Rhodes sought redemption and the chance to “finish his story” and of course the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. The “Bloodline Rules” stipulation added an intense layer of drama, with Rhodes overcoming the odds to dethrone Reigns in a stunning upset that had the Lincoln Financial Field erupting in cheers.

It was no surprise that during the match both Reigns and Rhodes has some assistance during their match from the likes of Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, The Rock, John Cena and none other than The Undertaker making brief cameo appearances.

Death to ‘El Muerto’? Sony’s Bad Bunny Marvel Adaptation Faces Challenges Beyond the Strike
Image
Sony has removed “El Muerto,” a Marvel movie about a luchador supervillain starring Bad Bunny, from its theatrical-release calendar. The “Spider-Man” baddie’s standalone film was previously scheduled for January 12, 2024; now, per Sony, it’s “Tbd.”

An individual with knowledge of the project told IndieWire that “El Muerto” is still in development, but with the writers strike ongoing and the musician’s tour dates, rescheduling the release is complicated. “El Muerto” isn’t the first superhero movie to be impacted by the WGA strike, but there are enough challenges here to wonder if “El Muerto” will be re-slotted, or if it’s down for the count.

This morning, Sony emailed press with three updates to its domestic release calendar:

Seth Rogen’s “Dumb Money” has been moved up from October 20, 2023 to September 22, 2023. “The Book of Clarence” is being pushed back from that September 22 date to January 12, 2024. The “El Muerto” release date is now considered “Tbd.
