Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, the infamous streamer known for his outrageous pranks, has landed in hot water once again. Controversial for stunts like climbing the Hollywood sign and assaulting a female jogger in Miami, the Russian-American Twitch streamer’s latest antics in the Philippines went too far.
After filming himself harassing a security guard and pranking locals, he was arrested. His reckless actions have now led to serious legal consequences. His arrest now raised concern about a troubling trend of dangerous pranks, one that may have been sparked by fellow streamer IShowSpeed.

Though, by his own admission, he’s been in jail “many times,” notorious YouTube prankster Vitaly Zdorovetskiy just endured a harrowing experience after his latest stunt went awry.
Zdorovetskiy, 27, shared on Instagram that he spent five days in an Egyptian jail after attempting to climb one of the The Great Pyramids of Giza, which is the oldest of the 'Seven Wonders of the World'. Zdorovetskiy says his stint in Egypt marked his worst experience in prison to date. “I saw horrible things and I don’t wish this upon anybody," he captioned a photo of the pyramid he allegedly climbed. "Was it worth it? F-ck yeah! I did it for a good cause and soon I’m going to share the whole video so the whole world can see.”
No word yet on when the video is slated to debut, nor has Zdorovetskiy disclosed any details about his cause.

The July 2015 merge of Studio71 and Collective Digital Studios united a Germany-based multi-channel network with a Us-based one to form a single global entity, currently known as Studio71. Now, that network is making another intercontinental journey; it has announced a deal with Beijing-based tech company ByteDance that will bring the videos of Studio71’s creative partners to top Chinese platforms like Toutiao.
Creators who will bring their videos to Chinese audiences as part of the deal include Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, Epic Meal Time, Matthew Santoro, Tana Mongeau, and Logan Paul, all of whom have millions of subscribers across the social web. The featured content will be subtitled in Mandarin, allowing local viewers to follow along with Western pranks, vlogs, and sketches.
Toutiao may be an unfamiliar app for American readers, but it’s huge in China. The content aggregation portal has been downloaded more than 600 million times, and it has more than 66 million daily active users.

YouTube prankster Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, who counts roughly 11 million subscribers between his two channels, may be just as entertaining in the courtroom as he is online.
Zdorovetskiy, who has had numerous run-ins with the law, appeared before a judge in Cleveland on Wednesday, where he plead no contest to running onto the court during an NBA Finals game earlier this month shirtless with 'Trump sucks' written on his chest and 'LeBron for President' scrawled across his back. He was fined $1,000 for trespassing in a place of public amusement.
"Is it too late to say sorry?" Zdorovetskiy said -- quoting Justin Bieber during the hearing -- per Cleveland.com. "I'll never come back here again," he added. "Unless the Cavs make the finals again." This comment reportedly drew laughs from spectators as well as Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Lauren Moore. "We're happy to watch you from far away on YouTube," added assistant city prosecutor Angela Rodriguez.

ABC decided not to air the stunt and give him any further attention. Luckily, the footage was captured by ABC digital producer Jon Healy, who posted the video to his Twitter account. Bedecked in camo gear and a GoPro strapped to his head, the notorious YouTube prank star Vitaly Zdorovetskiy mounted the ‘D’ of the 45-foot-high Hollywood Sign yesterday evening and vlogged for roughly an hour with a huge banner that read ‘I’m Back’. Then, park rangers arrived on the scene, and took him into custody for trespassing. Another man climbing the hillside was also arrested, reports ABC7.
Zdorovetskiy was released yesterday evening after posting bail, though he could face a $1,000 fine and six months in county jail for the misdemeanor -- as the sign, on Mount Lee, is closed to the public and protected by gates, cameras, park rangers, and Lapd officers.

This April Fools’ Day, YouTube became ground zero for a handful of high-profile projects within the explosively popular prank video genre.
On the debut episode of their YouTube Red series, Prank Academy, Jeana Smith and Jesse Wellens tricked vlogger Joey Graceffa into thinking he’d ignited a crew member of a cooking show spectacularly into flames.
Two days later, Roman Atwood, Dennis Roady, and Vitaly Zdorovetskiy released Natural Born Pranksters -- a feature film in which the trio pull off feats far more diabolical than their typical YouTube fare -- like tricking a father-to-be into thinking his wife has given birth to the mailman’s baby. The movie catapulted to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes comedy charts, and the No. 2 movie overall during the weekend of its release -- second only to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

A feature film starring three of YouTube’s most popular practical jokes has arrived, fittingly, on April Fools’ Day. Natural Born Pranksters, which is led by Roman Atwood, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, and Dennis Roady, is now available in theaters, on video on-demand platforms like iTunes, and on home video.
In their film, Atwood, Zdorovetskiy, and Roady pull off some of their most extravagant stunts yet, with unsuspecting targets falling victim. A few other YouTube stars, including Tom Mabe, Jenna Marbles, and Furious Pete, show up to lend some helping hands. I’ve previously described Natural Born Pranksters as “Jackass re-spun for the YouTube crowd,” and the film’s trailer backs up that characterization.
Natural Born Pranksters has been in the works since 2014, when Collective Digital Studio -- which has since merged with Studio 71 and adopted the German network’s name -- announced its plan to harness the star power of the titular pranksters.

Three of YouTube’s most successful practical jokers are officially coming to movie theaters. Lionsgate has picked up the distribution rights for Natural Born Pranksters, a film produced by Collective Digital Studio and starring Roman Atwood, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, and Dennis Roady.
Atwood, Zdorovetskiy (aka VitalyzdTV), and Roady are all known for the prank videos they create on YouTube, where they have more than 17 million subscribers among their respective channels. In Natural Born Pranksters, they will take their antics to the big screen by “turning Hollywood into Prankwood,” according to a press release. Guests who will appear in the film will include Jenna Marbles, Furious Pete, and fellow prankster Tom Mabe. It kind of sounds like Jackass, re-spun for the YouTube crowd.
Natural Born Pranksters has been in the works for more than a year and a half. It was first announced in April 2014, shortly after Atwood and Zdorovetskiy joined the Collective Digital Studio.
