Back in 2019, music mogul Scooter Braun purchased the rights to the original recordings of Taylor Swift’s first six albums.

This proved to be a blessing in disguise for Swifties, who were subsequently treated to the “Taylor’s Version” albums, recorded as part of Swift’s efforts to regain control over her own intellectual property.

But Braun still earned a spot on every Swiftie’s enemy list.

The 35-year-old “Wildest Dreams” singer made her way through Arrowhead Stadium to support boyfriend Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates on Saturday afternoon (December 21) in Kansas City, Miss.

After Covid shut down AMC and the rest of the globe’s multiplexes and the actors strike ratcheted down the box office, you could say that the No. 1 exhibitor was taking its fate into its own hands with Taylor Swift: The Era’s Tour.

Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, will not face charges for an alleged altercation with a paparazzi photographer in Sydney, Australia earlier this year.

The incident occurred in February when Swift was performing her “Eras Tour” stops in Melbourne, Australia. According to RTÉ, photographer Ben McDonald was trying to snap pics of Swift, but had an umbrella “shoved in his face to prevent a photo from being taken” as the pop star and her entourage walked down a jetty to their vehicle. McDonald alleged that Scott then confronted him and “took it further.”

After the incident, McDonald filed a complaint with the Australian police, who opened the investigation that has now been closed. In a new statement, police acknowledged that they had “conducted” the investigation, and “no further police action” would be taken.

Though Scott Swift has not been formally identified, local police said that a 71-year-old man slugged a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf at 2:30 a.m.

Call it an era of generosity.

Taylor Swift — currently on the road with her blockbuster, record-breaking Eras Tour — is spreading the wealth from a successful, sold-out run by offering bonuses to those who worked on the show. The gifts total more than $55 million and were recently doled out to crew and collaborators including truckers, dancers, riggers, sound technicians, catering staff and more.

The news was first reported by TMZ, which revealed that truckers received $100,000 ahead of last week’s concert stop in Santa Clara, California. People followed it up with a report that the extra cash went to all the key Eras Tour staffers.

In an interview with CNN published on Wednesday, Michael Scherkenbach, founder and CEO of Denver-based Shomotion, said that the bonuses are well beyond what truckers in his line of work usually receive from performers. “The typical amount is $5,000 to $10,000 each. Turns out the truckers weren’t the only “The Eras Tour” crew members to benefit from Taylor Swift’s generosity. In total, the singer handed out over $55 million in bonuses to crew members of her ongoing world tour.

According to People, everyone from Swift’s dancers to riggers to sound technicians to caterers were awarded bonuses.

As previously reported, each of the 50 or so truckers who worked the tour received a $100,000 bonus. Michael Scherkenbach, founder of Shomotion, a transportation and logistics company working “The Eras Tour,” confirmed the gift in a Linkedin post. “When [Taylor’s father] Scott Swift called the Shomotion LLC steel / stage drivers in for a meeting, this was the last thing they expected – Thank You! Words cannot express our gratitude for your appreciation, recognition and generosity!”

By the time its and said and done, Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is expected to be the highest-grossing tour in music history.

In less than a month after romance rumors swirled, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have broken up.

Although their relationship was never confirmed, they have been spotted holding hands and kissing. Healy was also seen attending the Grammy winner’s concert with her father, Scott Swift. He had also previously attended other shows of her Eras Tour in Nashville.

After hearing news of her dating Healy, many of Swift’s fans distanced themselves from the pop star. The 1975 frontman had previously made racist and fatphobic comments. Some of his comments were about Ice Spice, who Swift recently invited to perform with her in New Jersey.

In addition to her fans, fellow music artist Azealia Banks warned Swift just last week about dating the British singer.

It seems that Taylor Swift’s dad and Matty Healy are getting to know each other amid romance rumours between The 1975 frontman and the “Blank Space” singer.

Swift and Joe Alwyn ended their relationship earlier this year after six years together.

In a heartfelt letter shared to Twitter on Thursday, Taylor Swift gave fans an update on her feud with Scooter Braun, the manager of Big Machine Records. "I've been planning to perform a medley of my hits throughout the decade on the show," Swift said, referring to the upcoming American Music Awards.
