9/10. Spectacular, bombastic, original, and amazing visuals effects with barely any CGI. Christopher Nolan yet again will astound and confuse the senses. The plot is very complicated and some of the dialogue is hard to hear though. But it ends up being the best movie 2020. This movie was awesome.

9/10. Simple yet extremely effective. Some plot holes aside; this is a great, intense fresh take on a classic horror tale. Great sound effects, an intense atmosphere, and a memorable performance by Elisabeth Moss. This movie keeps you engaged throughout its entire runtime. Best horror movie of 2020 and runner up to Tenet.

8/10. Light hearted, a great dose of 90s nostalgia, funny, and just fun; Sonic is a great movie for everyone. Props to them for overhauling the disastrous Sonic design from the awful 1st trailer and making it more faithful. Great to see Jim Carrey back in his old comedy form. This feel good movie roars into the 3rd spot.

8/10. A brutal, harsh, multi layered horror movie that’s really interesting to watch. An effective look into society’s structure of wealth, class, and greed. Hits hard now especially with the Covid virus wrecking havoc in our world and exposing more of the evils of the rich and powerful. Its ending will be much debated and leaves behind a powerful message. This great horror film came out of nowhere and ends up in 4th place.

8/10. The DCU animated universe of 7 years comes to a close in this epic mash of bleakness, heroes, bloody deaths, and action. Fits a lot of material in one movie but delivers a satisfying and dark conclusion. Surprisingly this takes the final spot for top 5 movies of the year. Quite a entertaining movie.

8/10. Very surprisingly enjoyable and well executed with great sound effects. Yeah it’s very cliche and has a lack of character development. But it’s a great sci-fi horror b monster movie. Really good considering this was a January movie.

8/10. Sure, the time loop gimmick has been used a bunch in recent years, but I’ve always been a sucker for those type of films. It’s funny, goofy, full of heart, and has 2 great leads.

8/10. Chadwick Boseman knocks it out of the park in his final role. R.I.P Black Panther, king of Wakanda. He passed away too soon and thanks to the incredible roles he took.

8/10. Surprisingly this series hasn’t lost a beat since it’s been 29 years after the last movie. It’s needfully optimistic, funny, and still has its goofy charms. 2020 needs more movies like this. Party on dude!

8/10. Very light, funny, and heart warming; My Spy rises above its formulatic premise. Not much going on but it’s a movie we need in this messed up year of 2020.

8/10. I’m more of a heavy metal/ rap type of guy, but this was an insightful look into the life of the extremely beautiful Taylor Swift. We dive deep into her private life and experience the chaos of being a celebrity/international superstar.

8/10. Although it doesn’t reach the height’s of the best Disney Pixar movies , it still delivers. It has all of Pixar’s signature blend of beautiful animation, great voice acting, adventure, humor, and a lot of heart.

8/10. A very insightful and deep look into the rise of Netflix and it’s battle with Blockbuster. It does tend to get boring in a couple of places.

7/10. So Gal Godot is still amazing and the movie is an escapism from reality. But this is not as good as the first and its run time is too long. It suffers from lack of action, full of cliches, and some shoddy CGI.

7/10. Takes a while to get going but it’s gleefully violent/r-rated and humorous that’s led by the wonderful,pretty Margot Robbie. But it’s quite messy and not enough of the actual Birds of Prey. Really, it should have been called a Harley Quinn film. Not the best DCEU movie but still has some fun to it.

7/10. This is what you get when Harry Potter gets sucked into a world of satire, ultra violent action scenes, and depravity. It’s like if Crank and Nerve took a huge hit of adhd medication. Just don’t think too deeply about the film.

7/10. It has a cool concept, bloody action, and Charlize Theron kicking butt. However the music is average and the story brings nothing new to the table.

7/10. While it doesn’t reach the heights of Bad Boys 2; this has great bloody action and good chemistry. The story kinda lingers but Will Smith is as good as ever.

7/10. Yeah it’s stupid and very formulaic. But it’s quite funny and enjoyable. Not award winning but in days like this we need more dumb comedies to shut our brains off to.

7/10. This satirical, dark humor, action, horror movie appropriately puts zingers on both sides of our outdated 2 party political system of Democrats and Republicans. It does not really offer anything new and drags in the middle. This will piss both people off on both sides while independents, non political, and Libertarians will get more of a kick out of this. Still 2020 is a bad year to release this movie with the ongoing Covid 19, Black Lives Matters, A Cry Baby President, protests, riots, looting, gun violence, systematic racism, killer cops, political upheaval, and an economy at its worst since the Great Depression.

7/10. It has the satire and some laughs we need right now. But it’s no where near as good as the first. Some of its charm is lost but some will find parts of it offensively funny.

7/10. Although it’s a cool what if Superman with a Russian Batman; the story lacks some focus and some of the animations look cheap. Great music and ideas though.

7/10. This horror anthology makes fun of all of the horror tropes and cliches. Some of the stories are quite funny while a couple miss the mark. But horror fans should get kick out of the meta humor and great gory practical effects
