- RéalisateurJim McKayVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot tries to live a bug-free life, but is quickly drawn back in. Tyrell takes matters into his own hands when the CTO position becomes available; Ollie gets blackmailed. Gideon starts getting suspicious of the infected server.Though this episode is overall pretty slow, the Starbucks scene and learning about how insane Tyrell really is makes up for it.
7.7/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot is hesitant about fsociety and is offered a new job. Elliot worries about Shayla's association with Fernando Vera; Ollie is given a CD outside of Allsafe. Mr. Robot makes Elliot talk about his father. While the start of the episode is a little slow, from the scene with Vera onwards, it is magnificent. Great foreshadowing for what is to come.
7.9/10 - RéalisateurNiels Arden OplevVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayA notorious hacker takes an interest in cyber security engineer and vigilante styled computer hacker Elliot, while an evil corporation is hacked.Brilliant start to the series, especially the bookending scenes. Sets up the entire show really well and instantly hooks you in.
8.0/10 - RéalisateurNisha GanatraVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayWhile dealing with his withdrawal, Elliot suffers a series of hallucinations about his life, while Shayla helps Angela take an unexpected trip. The hallucination is legitimately one of my favorites of the entire series. The rest of the episode is uneventful but man, that long shot is incredible.
8.2/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot misses Shayla. Angela makes a deal with Colby. Sharon Knowles has an encounter with Tyrell.A fairly slow episode, but the bookending scenes along with Tyrell killing Sharon are all standouts among the first season, and set up the brilliance of what's to come in the next two episodes.
8.3/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekPortia DoubledayCarly ChaikinElliot keeps seeing his psychologist, Krista. The new character Susan Jacobs is having trouble with technology. Gideon pays a visit to Elliot complaining he's been targeted for a crime Elliot might have committed. Fsociety are back in action, asking E Corp for 5.9 million dollars in 24 hours.(see pt. 2 for rating/review)
- RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekPortia DoubledayCarly ChaikinFive/nine has changed the world and Elliot is in seclusion. Angela finds happiness at Evil Corp, fsociety delivers a malicious payload. While a lot of people seem to not like this episode this much, I thought it was a great start to the season. It does a wonderful job at setting up the darker and more hopeless tone of the second season while introducing the main conflicts of all of the characters. The scene at the start of pt. 2 is a classic, and watching Darlene slowly become the very thing she hated is so enthralling.
8.4/10 - RéalisateurJim McKayVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayFsociety attempts to penetrate Steel Mountain, the most secure data facility in America, while Angela makes an important decision. This whole episode is extremely intriguing. The Bill scene, Elliot and Tyrell playing off each other, Darlene and Mr. Robot... Everything comes together to make a nice buildup to the next episode and the rest of the season. This is the turning point.
8.5/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot can't quit the game; Dom and the FBI head to China to investigate 5/9; Joanna is haunted; and Darlene calls on Angela for help.Probably the slowest of Season 2, but that doesn't make it bad. Elliot figuring out what Ray is really up to and Dom meeting Whiterose are awesome scenes, and the scenes at the very end mark the change for when Season 2 emerges to greatness.
8.6/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayAnother huge discovery for Elliot surrounding his family and fsociety, Tyrell's world starts to close around him and Angela has a rather unexpected visitor.Strangely enough, this episode feels more like a season premiere than a finale, setting up the character arcs for everyone moving into the future. That being said, it's still a great episode with a great ending that's better in retrospect.
8.6/10 - RéalisateurChristoph SchreweVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayAllsafe is hacked and Elliot is meeting Whiterose. Tyrell is interrogated by the police and Elliot remembers who he really is.From when Elliot meets with Whiterose onward, the episode pulls no punches, leading to one of the best reveals. The Whiterose meet is an astounding scene, so is the ending one.
8.7/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot vows to beat Mr. Robot, Angela gets a glimpse behind the curtain at E Corp and fsociety stirs up trouble. On the surface, I thought I wasn't going to like this episode on rewatch. I couldn't remember anything. As it turns out, however, this has some of the most iconic and some of my favorite moments of the second season: the chess game, the Basket Case dream sequence, the backstory introduction. It's all done masterfully and slowly builds to what is coming.
8.8/10 - RéalisateurTricia BrockVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot has to face the challenges of his past, and become accustomed to his new found family. This is where everything is revealed and gets turned on its head. It's even better on a rewatch which is quite surprising. Rami Malek gives his best performance thus far with the opening scene, we see Tyrell break down, and Angela gets an offer that will eventually change everything. Absolutely magnificent episode. Everything works together like cogs in a beautiful machine.
8.9/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayDom has a close call; Elliot chases himself with Darlene on the lookout. An incredible buildup to one of the most important episodes of the show. Everything is set in motion here, ready to take off in the most spectacular way possible.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinGrace GummerDarlene and Dom hit the road. Elliot is not done yet.Look. I know. It's a filler episode, but even then it's just so good. It provides a nice break from the constant chaos of the past few episodes and allows Dom to finally let go and get some rest.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayThe latest fsociety leak has Dom trying her best to spin the case in the FBI's favor, Angela defends her career choices. Darlene makes it known that her circle of trust is shrinking.I love seeing Darlene and her hacker crew having their own episode. Builds up loads to what is come and is incredibly sad in the shadow of what happens in Season 3. Darlene straight up murdering someone was something I wasn't expecting and goes down as one of the best scenes with her.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot trolls a former ally; Mr. Robot leaves cryptic text; Tyrell gets new commands. While it's definitely less eventful than the past bunch of episodes, it sets up the season finale brilliantly.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot vows to beat Mr. Robot. Angela gets a glimpse behind the curtain at E Corp and fsociety stirs up trouble. This episode contains SO many iconic scenes: The cement and adderall scene, Elliot's high, the "fuck God" monologue, it's all contained within this one awesome episode. Watching Elliot break down is why I think Season 2 is so great, even if people disagree. The side plots are also great and start to heat up in this episode.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinMartin WallströmElliot's newest hack helps him share his emotions. Whiterose puts the pieces in motion. Elliot and Darlene have a disagreement and Vera plans his next move. In flashbacks, some key moments in Whiterose's life are revealed. While definitely the slowest episode of Season 3 so far, the introduction scenes with Whiterose are beautiful and give a lot more insight into why she's doing what she's doing. The episode overall sets up the rest of the season really well.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot realizes his mission, and needs help from Angela; Darlene worries about them coming out clean.Wonderful introduction to Season 3 that further explores the divide between Mr. Robot and Elliot while introducing one of the best antagonists of the show. The long one take in the hacker room and Elliot's monologue as he realizes that he created all the chaos are both fantastic scenes.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayThe former interim CTO of E Corp returns.A Tyrell episode. There really isn't much to say aside from the fact that the scene with Mr. Williams is incredible. The rest of the episode is also incredible, coming with some interesting reveals and twists and turns.
9.0/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayAngela wants more from Evil Corp; Dark Army's allegiance is in question; Elliot and Darlene seek answers. The battle between Mr. Robot and Elliot continues. This is the episode where all of the plotlines throughout the season finally begin to connect, since Elliot is let out of prison. We get an extremely emotional moment between Elliot and Darlene, more nervewracking and creepy scenes with Angela, and the introduction of Stage 2. Brilliant episode.
9.1/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot becomes encouraged trying to undo five/nine. Darlene gets stuck between a rock and a hard place; Mr. Robot sparks a panic.Yet another fantastic episode. The intro sequence is among some of the best intros to an episode of the series, and the battle between Elliot and Mr. Robot heats up with Darlene giving the FBI intel. Pieces start moving forward. Also has the "don't mistake my generosity for generosity" line, which automatically makes it awesome.
9.1/10 - RéalisateurSam EsmailVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayMr. Robot and Elliot try to keep the peace. Fsociety releases a video honoring Uncle Sam. Darlene acts upon an old desire.Seeing Mr. Robot and Elliot finally make up and work together is amazing, as is Leon coming in the save the day for Elliot. The reveal at the end of the episode is also magnificent, with Elliot letting US back into his life. It's really beautiful.
9.1/10 - RéalisateurDeborah ChowVedettesRami MalekCarly ChaikinPortia DoubledayElliot attempts to hack Vera out of jail in order to save someone he cares about; Tyrell's "game" gets crazy; and Angela digs deeper into her mother's death. This is it right here: the episode where Mr. Robot goes from a great show to an amazing one. The amount of tension built from this episode is absolutely phenomenal, keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The ending scene is one of the best and most crushing ending scenes of the entire show. The episode gets even better when you consider what eventually happens in 407. My only complaint is that the Angela and Tyrell stuff kind of take you out of the moment, but they aren't that bad and they're pretty short scenes.
