This is just an extra movie I was watching while writing my reviews. If you have not seen this film I highly recommend it. I have seen it multiple times and each time see something new. There is a lot of trash about how if the human race was wiped out but this movie actually does that concept justice by showing what it would be like if disease killed off most of the world. The shots in the film are put together extremely well. There are many angles and close shots that make the movie that much better also the movie is from 2007 and I saw a batman vs super man trailer teaser, a movie that came out this year so that was cool. The acting is great and will smith really shows many different sides of him as he deals with being alone on the planet. Definitely see this movie if you have not and have a nice summer.
I found this movie to be overrated. It was good but I didn't think It was a contender for best movie or anything. The movie was very slow at parts but I did enjoy the beginning and how it starts off when he is old and goes back from there.
My favorite scene in the movie was when he took a stand at the news paper. He refused to be bullied into printing what others wanted him to print. money didn't matter as long the right thing was talked about and there is just something noble bout that part. it shows a man willing to stand up for what he believes in. Other than that the movie was just OK
The dark lighting was interesting and the movie just was too long.

This movie really influenced horror movies today so its a great film and easy to appreciate. The use of loud and sharp music adds to the fear. The shower scene is a great example of a lot of things the music that starts to play to imply something sinister is about to happen. The Hand holding the knife and the terrified expressions. All of that is intense. The most brutal part to me though is actually after the killing because the girl is just dead on the shower floor and all wee see is her face and the entire time the shower Is still running that right there is chilling. The shower still going is so genuine the fact that the clip doesn't end right after the act just makes the murder feel real like shes dead and there is nothing left but the water. This film is filled with groundbreaking shots. That being said I find Hitchcock to be a little corny in instances. Like sometimes someone will walk back too far and fall off something to their death and that just seems dumb to me but all in all this was a good movie.
