Disney has unveiled a brand-new preview for its eagerly-anticipated Phineas and Ferb revival series. Originally airing its first four seasons on the Disney Channel and Disney Xd between 2007 and 2015, the show returns on June 5.

Per ComicBook, Disney's preview images feature the series protagonists and stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, as well as other series regulars, including their sister Candace and the villainous Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Phineas and Ferb co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh continue to helm the series, which will premiere on Thursday, June 5 on Disney Channel and Disney Xd with two episodes. The first episode will be available the same day on Disney Channel YouTube. The first ten episodes of the season will hit Disney+ in the United States (and select international markets) on Friday, June 6.

Stick with Disney Channel ‘cause Phineas and Ferb are coming back!

Even after the show culminated in 2015 – a decade ago – Disney Channel will premiere a fifth-season revival of Phineas & Ferb on the 5th of June 2025. The show will also premiere on Disney+ the proceeding day.

Most of the original voice cast returned for the new season, including Ashley Tisdale as Candace and Dan Povenmire as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. David Errigo Jr., who took over Thomas Sangster as the voice of Ferb Fletcher since Milo Murphy’s Law, also returned, And significantly, Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh came back as executive producers.

The House of Mouse shared that the new season will “follow the inventive stepbrothers as they tackle another 104 days of summer”, including Candace’s determination to bust her brother and Perry the Platypus’ exploits to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s return to his evil scheme on taking over the Tri-State area.

John Oliver probably didn’t see this coming. The “Last Week Tonight” host appeared last week on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” where host Andy Cohen asked him about his kids’ TV diet. Oliver mentioned that “Bluey” and “Phineas and Ferb” are currently in heavy rotation at his house.

“Phineas and Ferb,” he raved, was “actually genuinely funny,” with “some good jokes in that.” But both Cohen and Oliver strangely didn’t know where “Phineas” actually runs — even though it’s been a Disney Channel staple since 2008. The best that Oliver could come up with: “I don’t know… PBS?”

Ooh, those are fighting words. “Phineas and Ferb” creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh weren’t having it. So the duo and their writers — currently working on the “Phineas” revival, set to drop this summer on Disney Channel and Disney+ — are humorously clapping back.

Disney is going all in with the marketing for the Phineas and Ferb revival, which was first announced two years ago in January 2023. The new season will premiere on Thursday, June 5 on Disney Channel and Disney Xd with two episodes. Phineas and Ferb fans who cut the cable in the decade since the original iteration went off the air need not worry about being unable to watch the new episodes, as the premiere will also be available the same day on Disney Channel YouTube. If you are Gen Z, you likely grew up with Phineas and Ferb on the Disney Channel, or you may have been the parent of a child who loved the show (and secretly also loved it.) The popular show ran from 2007 to 2015. Now it’s coming back for a Season 5 in June, and Disney has released a trailer for the new season!

It looks about the same, and I’m so happy it does. So often studios try to update or change things and ruin popular IP in the process.

We now have a date for the return of Phineas and Ferb. The previously announced revival series will premiere June 5 on Disney Channel and June 6 on Disney+. We’re also getting a first look in a new trailer which you can see above.

The first two episodes will drop on Thursday, June 5 at 8 pm on Disney Channel and Disney Xd. The first episode also will be available same day on Disney Channel YouTube. The first 10 episodes of the season will premiere on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Friday, June 6, with additional markets to follow later this year. The episodes will also be available to stream on Disney Channel on Demand. A special sneak peek will debut on Monday, May 26, at 11:35 am on Disney Channel, Disney Xd and Disney Channel YouTube.

According to the official logline, “the new season of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will follow the inventive step-brothers as they tackle another 104 days of summer. In its first bout, the Emmy-winning series aired 140 episodes across four seasons from 2007 to 2015, spawning several spin-offs and films like the made-for-tv “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension” and the Disney+ standalone feature “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe.

The Hunger Games series has become extremely popular and iconic. More than 100 million of the books have been sold, and a sixth movie is currently in development. The dark and thrilling stories in the series have captivated audiences by showing an oppressed society where children are forced to fight each other in televised games.

However, Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games, didn't just publish the series right as she graduated from college. She began her career in a much different way, writing lighthearted TV shows for children, as well as a few animated movies. Disney's beloved cartoon Phineas and Ferb follows the titular brothers, voiced by Vincent Martella and Thomas Brodie Sangster, as they vow to spend each summer off from school inventing extravagant new things, breaking records, and going on wild adventures. All the while, Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus, Perry, is living a double life as a secret agent constantly battling the dimwitted wannabe villain Dr. Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire). The gag is, the boys' mother is constantly aloof to her sons' adventures.

Even after a number of the show's other characters learn of the brothers' fantastical adventures, the boys' mother, Linda Flynn-Fletcher (Caroline Rhea) continues to live in her own world. The Phineas and Ferb matriarch is often spotted spending time with their dad and on the phone with her friends. When the boys cover up some of their rule-breaking ways, she typically buys into their excuses but come on, she should have known better.

Recently, there has been an explosion in the number of old childrens shows being revived for a newer audience, the latest one being Phineas and Ferb. The new season of Phineas and Ferb is set to premiere in 2025, with most of the original voice cast set to reprise their roles from the shows first run. Although Phineas and Ferb worked well because of the strict episode structure of the show, there is something that needs to change in the upcoming reboot. This change needs to be the role Candace plays in the series.

Airing for four seasons between 2007 and 2015, the series concerns step-brothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, who spend their summer vacation concocting elaborate and sometimes dangerous schemes. While dodging their controlling older sister Candace, the two are unaware that their pet platypus, Perry, is actually a secret agent tasked with foiling the plans of the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. With its strange and playful concept, Phineas and Ferb stood apart from Disney's other fare.

Despite being somewhat short-lived (considering its huge cultural appeal), Phineas and Ferb lived on through feature films, video games, and even a small presence in Disney theme parks as well. Hope for a revival has been high since the show's conclusion in 2015, and though it took a while to get going, season 5 is finally in the offing.

Ahead of this years much-anticipated Phineas and Ferb Season 5, the series creators have released teaser art from the show. Per Variety, the animated series co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh were also scheduled to reveal more information about the upcoming season at a panel at New York Comic-Con. There’s 104 more days of summer vacation on the docket, as the long-awaited return of “Phineas and Ferb” gets closer to reality. Co-creators and exec producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh were set to share more information about the upcoming revival during a Thursday panel at New York Comic-Con — including a reveal of who else is returning from the original animated series cast.

Scheduled to join Povenmire and Marsh on the Comic-Con stage were Vincent Martella (who plays Phineas Flynn) and David Errigo Jr. (who took over as Ferb Fletcher in 2020 from original star Thomas Brodie-Sangster), the two namesakes of the series. Phineas and Ferb co-creator Dan Povenmire took to Instagram to announce a long-awaited update for fans of the Disney Channel animated series that ran for four seasons from 2007 to 2015. The first episode of Phineas and Ferb season five is officially in the can! Povenmire wrote on his post from Oct. 2. The post shows a group of people all cheering and giving thumbs up in front of a screen with the shows logo.

The series, which follows step-brothers and their adventures during their 104 days of summer vacation, was created by Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh and consists of 129 episodes.
