Alfred allows them the use of their Villa and gives them servants for their use and needs. Alfred says that he has every intention of honoring Ecbert's land grant to the Vikings but wants to know if he can trust them first.
Bjorn wants Alfred to sign over the lands as he is the King (and since the treaty signed by Ecbert is void), but Alfred says that he is being honest with the Vikings and there are many who don't want to share the lands with someone who raided and pillaged England in the past. Alfred says that he will grant the lands when he can.
